We had a magical trip!! MY youngest is 3 and it was a perfect age - she loved it! We saw the kiss goodnight and I cried! We also saw Mickey in the tank at coral seas- for my mom's b-day ! they say it only happens once a month or so!My oldest finally got over her fears by riding the cyber rollercoaster and then went on TOT RnR and all the mountains- DH was thrilled!! One warning the hours listed in the guides they gave us in the hotel were way wrong from the web site and were incorrect- check the park time guides They were the only right ones. They changed saturday's closing to 5 from 8 Mondays to 9 and Thursday to 9 and added spectro and fireworks on Thursday so it was packed also an EE morning. But fun to have a late night! Also they list TL as closed in the guide but the busses were running and it was open and the day it was planned to be opened it rained in the AM and they closed it so check the buses if you want TL my kids were bummed as we went on Thursday as listed and it was our last chance and it was closed. Beware the time charts!! The crowds were not bad walked on everything even mountains for an hour if you are in at opening time and got busy at 12:00 with fast pass we never waited. Left parks at 2:00 and came back in evening. It was a blast. Any questions??

WERE YOU AT ANY PARKS AT OPENING? DID THEY OPEN GATES EARLY? HOW WERE CROWDS. WELCOME HOME......

We were at the parks at opening time and they only opened on the hour not early like the old days. We have never seen the kiss before - MK had closed at 7:00 and this was 8:00 and we were walking out he stands near the train above the park entrance where the flowers are and the tape goes on and on over and over as he waves. I think it begins slightly after closing but could be later as were had stopped for a snack a CM says they do it every night.
We stayed at POR and HIFS fro one night. we loved POR and HIFS was a real bargain. We had an awesome meal at Ohana's a real bargain and a great meal at Coral Reef- new menu there and two we did not like at Brown Derby and Planet Hollywood. We did Donald breakfast and the two princess breakfasts food was great at Donlad's - princess interaction was wonderful.

We did not try AE too scary and would have done CBJ but we had too many must sees to stop there- no real interest in it. We did habve a blast on RnR and saw Indiana Jones for the first time. Rode kali rapids 2xs too!

Some one in another thread said TOT has seatbelts now instead of lap bars...... is this true?

One cab I rode in had seat belts, the other cab still had the bar.

We stayed at HIFS one night and POR five nights. POR is a magical place. We love it!

How bad are the love bugs this year? I know that usually May isn't the really bad month. That honor goes to September. I just want to be prepared to face all those little buggers.

The love bugs were not too bad but there were some tiny bugs that ate me alive at the bus stops never had that before. Could not see them just feel the bites! Bring spray we never had to before.
My 3 year old was not big enough for Kali only 36 inches so we did baby swap and got two rides but she could ride family raft ride at BB god knows why it was way scarier than kali she was wide eyed but did not cry then as we got off I said did you like it she said "yes" I'm never ever going on that ride again!" So funny I thought it would wash her away she is a peanut and the waves went right up her butt to her hair line!!

Ihave a question... Did you get to use Pal Mickey, or see anyone with one? I am sooo excited I want to get one for my kids before the trip but I can't seem to find the info on getting one before June 1st.

Pal Mickey was available in all the resort gift shops. We saw a training group of cms using them in MGM and got to hold one and use it for a while. We did not rent one or buy one this trip maybe next time. It is cute but we had so much to drag around with us and my son bought a talking Stich on day one that had to come with us and my daughter was bringing a Mickey soccer ball to all the characters to sign plus the 3 year old needed to bring her doll so Mickey seemed over the top we were beginning to look like hobos!! But you will be able to get one- you could also call and probaby get one shipped home first but he activates in the parks and the flyer says he says over 700 phrases. We did get a flyer to read and we really thought about it but that gives us a reason to go back!
