Just back...any questions???

Just returned on Friday. We stayed at BWV for the first time. Loved it!! Attended MVMCP & CP. The lights at MGM were amazing!

Yeah, Did you happen to find a camera??? We just got back today. My son and I were on the Monorail last Wednesday and we got up and forgot the camera on the seat. We jumped on another Monorail and asked the CM to radio the other one but someone had already taken it. We checked lost and found all week. It was a three week old, $500 camera, but it had 5 days of once in a life time Disney family pictures on it. How sad is that. Anyway... Didn't we have nice weather???!!!

I was at Boardwalk too. We checked in the 25th. It was absolutely wonderful. I don't want to stay anywhere else. We were in room 1078.

Sorry about your camera! We were very lucky when my son lost his cell and wallet to have a very nice honest woman return it~~even the money. That's horrible someone didn't return it.

Wow, sorry about your camera. That is really a shame! Weather, yes it was great!

I know, I loved it!!! We checked in on the 25th too! We were in a studio 3078. Sounds like your room was overlooking the boardwalk. Is that right? If so, how lucky!! Did you get a chance to enjoy the nighttime entertainers on the boardwalk? They were quite good! Great way to spend an evening after the parks!

No, we were pool view. Sounds like you were directly 3 floors above us. You were in 3078, we were in 1078. We saw some of the entertainment, but my puppies were so sore by the end of the night they were screaming HOT TUB!! The sign said it closed at 8:00 but we were told you can do anything at Disney so we went for it!

What dates were you there? How did you find the crowds in the parks and at the BoardWalk pool(s)?

I can absolutely relate to you not wanting to stay anywhere else after staying at BWV. I've never stayed anywhere else, but I don't want to! I think we stayed in room 3077 (studio), which had a wonderful boardwalk view.

We are going down mid-January and staying in a standard view 1-BR - first time at BWV ourselves! Got a letter regarding renovations at the Luna pool - there will be a shuttle to the Beach Club pool instead. Is the Beach Club within walking distance? We realize it may be too cold to swim but a girl can dream right?

Also did you get a refillable mug? Would you recommend it - we are big coffee drinkers and are thinking of bringing our own to make in the room if the mug is a hassle.

Got a letter regarding renovations at the Luna pool - there will be a shuttle to the Beach Club pool instead. Is the Beach Club within walking distance? We realize it may be too cold to swim but a girl can dream right?

The next time we go, I'd love it if we could use the Beach Club's Stormalong Bay (not that Luna pool isn't cool, but the Bay is pretty amazing). The Beach Club is right across Crescent Lake; about a 5-to-7-minute walk if I recall correctly. When we went mid-January, even the water at Castaway Cay in the Bahamas was too cold for my liking. I didn't use the pool at BWV, but the hot tub at Luna pool was pretty nice.

We were there 11/25-30. Actually, we did not use the pool although the temps were definitely right for swimming! It was in the 80's during the day! Parks were not as crowded as I have seen them on other trips. Still alot of people! Our studio was on the other side. No boardwalk view, but did see a nice tree! Still loved it!

I don't think I'd bother walking if there's going to be a shuttle. It seems like a good walk. Didn't do the refillable mug. There was a coffee maker in the studio, so we really used that for our coffee. Have a great time!

How was your studio? Have you stayed at any other DVC studios? How did it compare? Did you do the Dining Plan? Did you have any trouble using the CS credits? Thanks. We are DVC members and are thinking about trying the BWVs next year. I love the location.

Well....The studio was perfect for my mother & I. Our original plans were for a 2 br villa. Unfortunately, my brother hurt his back & he & his family couldn't meet us. We changed to the studio. It was great! Absolutely loved the convenience of BW!! On previous trips when meeting my brother's family, we've stayed at SSR, OKW. The space you have at OKW is outstanding! Those villas are huge! We had 2 br villas at both locations. For some reason, we did not like SSR. I don't know if the size or layout is just too inconvenient or what is was. It was the first year it was open & the bus service was terrible! Don't know if things have improved there. I have read other reviews & people seem to like it. Must be an individual thing. This trip we did not use the DP. Previously we did & felt that we wasted much of the food when it came to CS since we had such wonderful TS meals everyday. However, we did use the "snacks"!! Have a great time planning your trip!
