Just got back from our 10-day trip, so let me know if there are any questions any of you might have...........be sure to read my upcoming trip report, as I have some terrible reviews on the Hard Rock (our first night hotel), and some of the service at the resturants........but the trip itself and the weather were awesome.

I didn't think the crowds were bad at all except the weekends of course, and Friday night at Epcot was just plain packed (due to EMH and Grad Nights). Otherwise we got up eary (can't believe I said this!!), and were out of the parks before 2:00 with everything ridden. We re-visited at night, and again rode everything we wanted.

I think the longest waited time was maybe 30min for TOT and Space Mountain. We fastpassed Soarin and Test Track (the only other 2 long-line rides).

.......oh, and we rode EE about 5 times with 10min waits in the early mornings right after opening.

Did you use any touring plans or TourGuide Mike?

What was your best meal?

no touring plans at all except for the knowledge gained here, lol. Best meal............I'm a simple person, so I still like Chef Mickeys the best, but for a best entree I'd have to say the spicy beef at Nine Dragons. Without getting into too much detail, the better resturants we ate at were: Liberty Tree, Nine Dragons, Alfredo Romas, Chef Mickeys, Cape May, O'hanas, and Garden Grill was pretty decent (although not worth 2 credits IMO).

Planet Hollywood was a mess, Whispering Canyon was WAY overrated, and Le Celliar was a disaster from the onset (although the food was good).

What was wrong with HRH? We are going to RPR but just interested!

We are going to Le Cellier any recommendations for food.

Thanks for taking time to share info

I'm interested to find out about the HRH too. We stayed there last year for 2 nights and loved it and now this year we are heading back for 4 nights...hopefully it was just a once time deal..... :listen:

I also am curious about your meal at Le Cellier...we were thinking of going there in June.

Thanks and I can't wait to read your whole trip report

The Hard Rock was a joke from the minute we pulled in.........from the $10/per day parking fee, to the MANDATED use of the bell hop services to take your luggage upstairs (of course with a mandated tip also). The room itself was another joke, especially since I paid almost $300 a night for it. I was expecting something like a Disney 'deluxe' room, and ended up looking at something equivalent (or below) a Disney 'moderate' room. The entire room seemed-trapped with various things that if you used them, you would get charged for (water, mini-fridge, chocolates, etc).

The pool also was nothing to write home about, especially considering that was the big point of this resort. My son got put on 'punishment' from the water slide since he couldn't swim away fast enough after he exited the slide. He's only 5 years old, so I'm not sure how fast they think he should swim? Its almost laughable, but the lifeguard told us 'he could not use the slide for 30 minutes'. LOL. I told him that HRH could not use my credit card for 24hours. He did not find this funny.

Let me preface this LeCelliar story with the note that although the service was terrible, the food was admittidly VERY good. Not sure if I would risk going back for bad service, but the food is good.

For starters, we waited approximately 45min PAST our reservation time. I was warned of this, so I didn't get too upset. Once in the resturant, we waited 15 MINUTES before our server even approached us!!!!! Then, when she did arrive, she had an attitude. So, about 10 minutes later, we finally got our drinks, and of course their wrong. We told her they were wrong, and she huffed off, and got new ones. After another 15min wait, we finally got our appetizers, and again she got it wrong. When we corrected her again, she literally grabbed the plates from us, and took them away with no comment.

I got tired of this REAL quick, and when she came back I asked her if there was a problem. She said 'talk to my manager then'. At this point we were all SO HUNGRY that I just figured 'forget it', and just hopefully eat soon. Needless to say the entree's were no faster than the appetizers, and overall we were in this resturant for an hour-and-a-half to eat an already late dinner.

The final blow was when she 'threw' our dinner entrees at us. That was enough, so I talked w/the shift manager. He said he would talk with her, and basically blew us off with some free fastpasses. To make an already long story shorter, the next day I spoke with the manager of the entire resturant, and she refunded our credits for this disaster.

It's a shame because it was good food.........we also heard similar stories from the people around us, as they saw how she was acting, and commented to us that they were having the same types of issues.

I was wondering if y'all visited the Diamond Horseshoe in Frontierland. I'd like to find out which characters are there for meet n greets. I was sad to find out that Bullseye no longer does appearances in the parks! Glad you had a great trip! We're leaving in 5 days!!!! :cool1:

No, we didn't go there, and to be honest, I never heard of that one???

I'm sorry to hear that you had such a bad Le Cellier experience, but am glad to see that they eventually "made good by you." We went to Le Cellier on 5/2. We waited approximately 20-25 past our ADR time (which we also expected). We had an incredible sever - friendly, pleasant. The food came out with the perfect amount of time between courses and everything was excellent.

So you didn't think that WCC was worth the hype? I've got to say I am disappointed to hear this, as we have and ADR there in September and I have so been looking forward to it. Can you tell us more?

:furious: Nice Waitress!!!!! Holy cow, I can't believe your patience with this chick......you actually made it through the appetizers before you asked to see the manager?? OMG, if a waitress threw a plate of food in front me, I would have probably bounced a dinner roll off of her head!!! Kudos to your patience, buddy...I have ADR's there in July......they better have a nice waitstaff when I'm there....nobody likes dealing with a NewYorker in 95 degree heat!! :lmao:

I know.. I can't WAIT to read your trip report, Boxer!!!LOL!!

If you all only knew my temper/mouth, you would understand how tough it was for me to hold it in, lol!!!!.....but I learned a long time ago that if you want to get someone good, hit them where it hurts---their pocketbook. So, I just kept complaining until I got my credits/money back. I also complained to Disney that it was not fair for her to get the $21 tip she was allotted on that meal plan (the automatic 18% gratuity).

I looked at it this way---if I would have called her the names I really wanted to in front of all the resturant, "I" would have looked like the fool---whereas by me going to the manager, and the other patrons seeing her attitude, "she" looked like the fool.

I still would have liked to punch her in the mouth though.......lol.

Please keep in mind this is my 'opinion', and you might differ.....It seemed to take forever to get served in this place, and the food was honestly not that good. Plus, the whole 'skit' of this place kind of turned me off---our waitress had that 'short-temper' thing going on, and after my dealings with the LeCelliar, I just wasn't feeling that. Now, I'm not saying she was rude, just the whole 'skit' thing wasn't my liking. The ketchup thing is kind of funny the 'first' time you hear it, but gets a little old after you see 32 ketchup bottles go table-to-table. I FULLY warned my kids to ask for NO ketchup under any circumstances!!! lol.

The only reason I posted that it was overrated, is because a few of the other people we talked with said the exact same thing. I heard a few of the servers went a little too far with the whole skit-thing, actually getting kind of nasty with the people.

But to each their own--maybe you'll love it.

Her name is Tara, make sure you ask for her (if she is still working). I will buy you a camara card, and I want you to take a pic after you bounce that dinner roll off her head!! I want to see pics of the dinner roll 'hitting' her head, then another of her reaction afterwards.

Oh, and the day I was there, it was 97 degrees during the day---believe me with my italian/irish temper, I still can't believe I controlled myself!! lol.

Did you use 2 TS credits at CG for each member of your party? I am curious if you can pay OOP for the kids meals there. We are doing HDDR and if they take 2 TS credits from all of us at CG too, that will be it for TS credits, 16 used in 2 meals.
