Got home Monday and still tired. Had an amazing time as usual. Busch Gardens was fab, we did the Serengeti Plain tour it was $29.99 plus tax each (which at first I thought was a bit pricey cos thought was only $20.00) but it was worth it to feed the giraffes so close. Also did the Predators Tour at Seaworld for 9.99 each which took you behind the scenes up close with killer whales, then stroked a shark and saw the shark encounter from above and also quite informative (thanks to Simon Veness for the tip to go on this one!) Then ate in the Shark Grill and watched the sharks for ages – and the food was nice too, we just had a pizza from the appertizer menu and one would have been enough for two. Did Planet hollywod – great experience naff food. Did Rainforest at DDDisney - great experience very naff food.

Animal kindom gossip – There were a couple of diggers in the distance at AK and we asked a cast member what was happening there she said that in Asia they are creating a new area which will be themed on the Ice Age , there will be a huge ride which will take you through an ice age type of scene on a tram and you will confront a giant abonible snowman (sorry about spelling!) who will twist up the track lines and then pick up your tram and hurl you 50 ft. Also the whole of the area will be cold even outside – interesting. Due to be completed in 2005. Sorry if it’s old news but it was new to me.

I’ve also started to collect at few Disney pins too – oh no! I’ve bought a pin with 2003 on it so now need 2001 and 1995 so I can have one from each year I’ve been – any ideas where to get them from?

Welcome back :)

Sounds like you had a fab time.

Have you looked here pins a great source of pin info, might be worth looking on ebay too..

Glad to hear that you had a good time.

Did you find it easy to get the Serengeti Plain tour tickets?

Phil.

Phil, it was really easy to book the serengeti, we arrived about 10.20 and went straight to the booking place and got on the 11.15 tour - there was only 2 of us and about 20 on the tour. That was on the 27 august when it was still quite busy

Gald to hear you had such a god time.

It won't be themed on the Ice Age but on the Himalaya. It was announced a little while ago and will be called Expedition Everest. Details and artwork can be found on screamscape and other places. It really does look terrific...

Regards

Rob
