Thanks to all of you You are so supportive. Yes my DH is the oldest and I always thought that meant there was a special place in your heart for your first HA HAHAHA I guess you have to have a heart!!!
Believe me If I wrote everything that DH said you would be reading a Novel
I try to lighten it because he would not hold anything back!!!

I know the feeling. Five years ago, we made the mistake of telling my MIL that we were going to Disney for older DD 16th birthday. She was living in Florida then and decided she would fly up to meet us for my daughter's birthday. Well she ruined everything about my daughter's birthday. My husband had to pick her up at the airport because heavens to betsey, she couldn't possibly take a taxi. Then when she got there, she was tired so she slept. Went to Chef Mickey's for dinner and all she did was complain that it was too noisy and she didn't like the food and just made everyone miserable. The next day, she didn't want to do anything but sit in the room and pout. She finally went home and of course my husband had to drive her to the airport so he really missed out on almost 2 days of our vacation. Needless to say, we never tell her when we are going to Disney since then. - MaryAnn

You really are a gem for putting up with her antics....I know you're supposed to turn your cheek 70X7...and you're doing a FINE job! I give you kudos! Can you believe I might be a little bit jealous of you...I've never really had a mother in law...or father in law...they were around for the first 3 years...just on a very casually polite basis...we saw them for 2 hours every year. And maybe had 4 phone calls a year...dh's family just isn't the warm fuzzy type. After we had children...things became very strained. They've never acknowledged our third child. I send them a Christmas card every year...but never a reply. So, a little part of me is happy your cruel mother in law actually wanted to take the trip with you. Why did she have to go mess it up with all her underhanded, wicked, misguided intentions? We dealt with those...and decided our life was less complicated and better without them...but dh is a big sweetie and I know it bothers him...thankfully my family is very loving and he fell into about 40+ aunts/uncles/cousins/grandparents who treat him like a son should be treated....too bad some moms and dad have lost the touch.

I can sympathize with all the bad MIL stories. Mine can also be extremely evil for no reason. She actually told my mom (while I was giving birth) that she was at the hospital in case the baby and I died because my husband would need his mom. It took everything my mom had not to smack her!

We actually did not tell his parents that we took my parents to WDW with us last time. The first thing my DH said when we invited my parents was that he expected to see his mom standing at the check in desk when we got there if she knew that my parents were going. It started out by putting off telling them until it was too late for them to show up and them we chickened out altogether to avoid the tears and screaming anbd now it has been 3 years and we still haven't mentioned it.

Yes you read the opening right! Now she's attacking all of you. We were talking about what we were going to do the next day and I was telling DH about how my Disfriends said we could get into MNSSHP at 4:00 and what a super deal it was. Well Cruella speaks up and says in her most scary voice
"Well who do these imaginary friends think they are??????? Before I could get anything out she again remarks"Dont you watch tv,they could be serial killers ....... You never know what kind of kooks are on the computer"
I"M thinking THEY"RE the lucky ones At least if you met her online you could BLOCK her!!!!!!!!!!
She told me I need to get a hobby and stay away from boards where people talk with you, it's just not safe!!! Did you know IT LEADS TO NO GOOD!!!!
My DH jumps up from his chair and says "That's about enough! No it is enough! MIL jumps up and falls on her rear end YOU HAD TO BE THERE!
Now that's Disney magic!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Off to her room she storms! and the saga continues!!!

ME AGAIN!
Well I"M sure Cruella went back to the room to call her favorite son Heck Why didnt she stay home and be with HIM !!
She comes back to the patio with this Smug look on her face and before she could open her mouth DH says "OK We're off to Dinner" Long story short
We stand in line for the monorail ride and she just cant keep her mouth shut!
"It's so hot, WHy is it taking so long????? I dont find the workers very happy or helpful" And oh yeah, "why cant people take showers ? Of course she says these things so loud!!!
I smiled at the CM and I started to tell my DH about what I learned on the boards about riding up front. Cruella did not hear me because she was still witching about anything.
The tram arrives and the CM says so loud and cheerful
"Oh there you are YOU 3 (see that) dh dd and I (Who the trip was meant for!) WE've been holding your special VIP seats up front. Please step forward and enjoy yourself
Cruella starts to grumble and push ahead and that DARLING CM informed her the front only holds 4 (the 3 of us and the driver) but she would be more than welcome to sit in the car behind. I truly thought Cruella would hit the CM. The CM patted my DD back and told her to have loads of fun!!!
Oh sure for 5 minutes anyways LOL
My dh waved to Cruella. This moment was priceless!

I have been reading your story and all I have to say is what in the world was MIL thinking we she decided to do this in the first place. A person just doesn't get up one day and decide that they are going to crash the vacation of a relative. I wonder how long she had been planning this.

BTW I'm also on another message board, and we got together to meet, and one mil said we were all "axe murderers, or at least someone is an ex con" so someone always brings an "axe" (from Halloween) for our pics!!

I have a friend who's MIL makes her own husband and grown MEN children and SonIL SIT on the pottie, they can't stand !!!! Ok that is just NOT RIGHT with me anyway.

She is all about her granddaughter and forgets the other 6 kids of her sons ! Her daughter and SIL and DG live with her and the GD... DD ran home from college because her parents kept calling her and couldn't handle life without her, its just sick!!! How can her hubby want to live in that set up ... where he isn't #1 to her and where he is emasculated ????? icky !!! Weird and not right! But thats just me I guess, I like mine rugged and manly
