Just back and we were "Dreamed" twice!

Hi everyone... Well, I pulled off my sister's surprise b-day trip to DL and it was GREAT!!! We stayed at the BWPPI (1st time) and I really was pleasantly surprised on how nice the rooms were and how CLOSE to the maingate!! I will definately stay there again...

I was somewhat surprised on the crowds Friday and Saturday (DS6 got sick, so we came home saturday night).. The weather was nice and it only sprinkled on us Saturday, so we didn't get too wet

Friday morning after leaving HM, we walked over to the canoes but they were closed... We turned back and was on our way in front of Splash Mountain, I was soo happy to finally see the dream squad and receive dream fast passes!! We felt like we just won the lottery..

Then, saturday morning, we were leaving FL and heading over to frontierland and we spotted them again... This time we knew what they had, so we kinda walked fast.. okay, we ran over to see them, and woohoo we got dream fast passes again!!!

This was a great weekend for us and we already are planning on taking my DH next month... Our AP upgrade from our December trip has already paid for itself...

So do you ask them for a "Dream" or do they ask you if you want a Dream?

We didn't have to ask... When we walked by, he handed them to us. Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but the CM's have pre-determined dream prizes to hand out at a specific time/location. We did not have the option to choose or I would have chosen the DVC membership!!!

That's awesome! We got dreamed too...Dh and Ds got buttons and a free 5x7...we also FOUND a dream fast pass lying out on a table in a restaurant...we didn't use it of course, but I was surprised someone would just leave it there...weird..I don't think it was "lost", just looked tossed aside....

How cool! Two dream fast passes is very exciting!! Glad to hear you were happy with the BWPPI. We are staying there in March and I was hoping someone would give good feedback that recently just stayed there. Would love to hear anything else you have to share about it.

We got the dream fastpasses last time we were there. They were great and we felt like royalty with them because everyone would ask about them. Dh was under the impression that if they were "dream" fastpasses they would be unlimited fastpasses. MEN! NEVER HAPPY!!!

lol, I thought they were unlimited fastpasses too for the day. So what is it then exactly? Like a normal fast pass that can only be used once on a specific ride? Or how does it work?

Its like giving you all the fastpasses all at once... They can be used at any time but only once, they take a tab(which has the ride's name on it) away from you when you go on that ride

We had a GREAT time.. The only thing I will do differently at the BWPPI is get a room with 2 doubles and a sofa bed or bring my Aerobed. We had a room with 2 double beds and they were on the small side. (We are used to the DLH with 2 queens).. My kids are younger (6 & 8) but it was a little cramped sharing a bed with one of them. Especially if he sleeps in a triangle pattern... My sister shared with my other son that had a stuffy nose and snored peacefully most of the night...

I loved not having to collect FP for all of the rides, but we did get more for our favorites to use later in the day...

A CM at the Alladin show told us that eventhough there is a date on them, they don't really "expire" and you could use them on a different day than what is stamped on them... He said the CM will just compare the numbers and make sure that they match.

Albort, can you comment on that?

I would like to know that too if we can use the Dream Fastpasses tomorrow if we won them today?
We were dreamed twice at the same time, fastpasses, button and photo pass all coming off Autopia at about 10:20 a.m. today.

We were there this past weekend as well, and never saw the dream squad at ALL. We figured that we spent a total of 27 hours in the parks/DTD total and saw a handful of ppl with the fast passes and only 2 sets of ears. I thought I would at least see the squad at some point, but nothing.
On Saturday, we had an odd thing happen, and we had just bought mickey bars in DCA and went to sit down by the bridge and eat them. A cast member came up and started chatting us up. "How is your stay? Where you from? Is it just the 2 of you?",etc..... I thought maybe we were going to get something when she reached in her pocket.....she pulled out a button and said to my daughter "I would like to make you an honorary citizen for the day". Boy was that a big disappointment! I thought she was going to give us something really good. I still have no idea why she even started talking to us. Never had that happen randomly like that before. Is this normal? Do they have greeters that just walk around like this? She was asking lots of stuff like where we were from, how long were we going to be there, etc.... and then finally she said "Oh...its JUST the 2 of you here?", almost like she was looking for a whole family or something.

Did she have a clipboard by any chance? When we were there, over by the bridge near the entrance, CM's were stopping people to do a survey type thing where they asked questions like that, so maybe she was one of those people and she was being sneaky by not asking you to do a survey but by just asking you the questions.

I doubt that. I was told Dream Fastpass MUST be used on the same day. Hence the whole point of putting the date on it.

We had the chatty CM's yesterday......no clipboard.....I think just being friendly. I thought the same thing, maybe we were going to win something.

Update today, saw dream passes being handed out at HM at about 10:45 a.m., we would have been able to get them if my son would have wanted to go on. I saw one man with dream ears and that is all. We were in the park for EE until 1 p.m.
