Just back and it is BUSY!

We just got back from a 2 day Disney trip on Oct5 and 6th and it was so busy! They actually extented the park hours 1 hour over their posted closing time. I thought it was comparable to summer! It was crazy!

I agree, we just returned last night. We visited in June twice, in August twice and I felt this last week was busier than any of our previous ssummer visits. I loved all the Halloween goodies DL had to offer and for sure want to do the MTOTP again, but not sure I want to go because of the crowds. We may skip October next year and do November instead and miss all the Halloweentime fun.

I would agree. We went the 8th-11th. We are the "off-season" type of Disney family and I have been there when it is busier, but this was awful. Thursday was like a Saturday and Saturday was like the worst day I have ever been including the summer. Forget talking about the evenings-they were crazy!!! Three years ago we went for the trick or treat party on Halloween and is was one of the least crowded most enjoyable trips we have had This year we took a flyer on going Columbus weekend thinking it wouldn't be too bad. Wow was I wrong. I love Disney, but not when it is like that (I guess maybe I don't love it that much to deal with that amount of people) We had a good time, but the crowds were overwhelming. We went to the trick or treat party on Friday night and it was fun, but nothing like the first time we went. There was huge lines for virtually everything. I know I'm whining-I just like it when it is not jammed to the limit everywhere. We have gone the first weekend in December a couple of years in a row and that was busy, but do able-next year we will do early fall or early Christmas.
