just back and I think never again!!

There is some percentage of occupants of this Earth who are total jerks. And there is no law that keeps those total jerks from visiting Disneyworld. The same people were probably jerks to people with strollers, people who had to stop suddenly to pick up a dropped ticket, people trying to carry a tray of drinks at a CS restaurants. These peoiple think only of themselves. Jerks can happen to anyone and everyone. BUT, there are a whole lot more nice people than there are jerks, so please try to focus on those.

I couldn't agree more! It's not the jerks that bring a tear to my eye; it's the kindness of strangers that does. I don't remember the rudeness; just the kindness! Just keep that focus and the jerks of the world won't matter as much anymore.:thumbsup2

I know what you mean, it's hard to over look things that are hurtful, we have been where you are many times.
We waited for a bus to get on one evening for over an hour at Epcot, three buses had come and gone before a bus came we could get on, when we did get on there was a family clearly mad because they thought we had just walked up and got onto the bus, they had no idea how long we had waited on that bus and in the end we never responded because I didn't want my dd knowing the loud hateful words were directed at her. What jerks.
I have since develop the theory that half the population at wdw will never be happy with us but oh well to bad so sad for them, it's mostly made up of people that has never had illness touch their family but let me tell you every dog has his day. :grouphug:

OK,OK!!! You guys have brought tears to my eyes! You are all right and I knew it, just so fresh. It has been almost a whole week since I have been home and the anger is wearing down and I haven't seen that nasty face in my head in a couple days.

I was very sick from a steroid treatment from the first of nov and didnt actually start to feel better until day before trip! (the 22nd) and our trip was for 10 days. It should have been wonderful. I went to disney still sick and weak, (good thing - 20lbs lighter-literally!) and I am still not better, so that didnt help matters either.

I love disney and even though I can say I am not rushing back, I am sure I will go back - how could I not!

PS. Those who go with your personal scooter, carry your charger with you if you can when you go to parks. Even though mine should make almost 10 miles, It died in mgm. I'm sure the fact that my grandson rode most of the time on it with me didnt help! In fact that is probably what prompted the nasty attack, I had to walk behind it (it was very light and I can still walk!!) while my grandson steered it because it died at Osbourne lights. Like I said, nothing I would die from and I wouldnt worry about it dying except for the people! I guess because I was "walking" to the handicapped spot with my scooter, I shouldnt have been there. She even yelled 'well if you have ms, why are you walking?" Thats when I just turned around and accepted their ignorance.

Thank you all for your support. All will be forgotten eventually and I need to emphasize that Disney was wonderful to me. Absolutely wonderful. bye

 Much sympathy and empathy winging its way to you! I understand how crummy it is to be sick on holiday, and how it makes everything 10 times worse. It sucks that you met such a nasty, ignorant, inconsiderate person, and it's such a shame that they can't all be banned from Disney.... hmmm :scratchin *starts devising maniacal plan for rooting all the meanies out of Disney*.

I'm glad the bad memories are beginning to fade, and I hope the good ones keep on shining for many years to come. Hopefully your next trip, whenever that may be, will be filled with the good and free from the bad. :goodvibes

As I write this, I'm sitting back at Give Kids the World, enjoying our last nite in Florida. We had 3 days in the parks with my son in his wheelchair. We are "lucky" that no one would mistake us for pretending to need the chair. I can't remember one incident where I felt someone envied us. I'm grateful for the handicapped entrances and the kindness we have been shown. Karen

Karen - So glad to hear you're having a good time! How is Alize enjoying everything? Can't wait to hear more about it when you get back!

(my girls and I are so sad to be home. We keep thinking ....."A week ago, we were in Disney. Sigh.")

Steroids will do it too.
My son in law has MS and he was miserable when he was on steroids. They make the bad things look even worse.
I'm glad to hear you are starting to put the bad vibes from that person out.
Sending some :goodvibes and :grouphug:

You know that "perfect response" moment? Where the most brilliant thing you could have said comes into your head when it's too late to do any good? Well (and I probably would do this, but I'm not recommending it to anyone else ;)), I might have thrown my arms skyward and shouted something like, "Lord, it's a miracle! The Osbourne Lights gave me my legs back!!!!". But then, I have a warped sense of humor and don't mind causing a scene...

I love it!:rotfl:

I have to say I have run into some pretty nasty people while using my PWC. I had one tell me I had no right to be in WDW because that wasn't what he pays his taxes for. Ah, I recieve no government help and work as does my husband and I told him so. Boy did he have egg on his face.
I haved learned to ignore the nasty people. They don't know me and my medical issues and it isn't any of their business. Those who need to know do and I'm fine with it.

:rotfl: I'm just waiting for someone to make some 'comment', so I can play such mind-games with them :stir:! As I use my chair for joint pain, I can stand, so may just get up and shout "I'm cured!!". Ah, I do love toying with idiots!
