We had such a wonderful vacation in Paris and Disneyland Paris. So sad I am back to the real world and laundry. :laundy:

All of us loved DLP! And we were blessed with wonderful weather. The mornings were chilly, but no rain! Although WDW is still our favorite, we all found DLP to have some advantages.

Sleeping Beauty's Castle. By far the prettiest one! Love the trees and waterfall on the outside. Really enjoyed being able to go up into the castle and into the cave to wake the dragon! Really cool.

BTMRR is by far superior here. Smoother ride with lots of dark tunnels. All of us said it beat out WDW and DL.

Crush's Coaster. Such a neat ride. And since no FP option on this ride they were very clever to put in an app you could participate in while waiting in line. Great for the kiddos.

PoTC and Phantom Manor were both really well done. While I prefer DL's PoTC, my husband liked DLP's better. PM was just great for a different experience. Loved the swaying shutters on the outside.

Main Street never felt uncomfortably crowded as it does at WDW. It was so nice to enjoy the walk without pushing and shoving.

A few things we were surprised about:

EMH. Only 4 rides open the day we went. They did say they were having technical issues, so I am sure that isn't the norm. But it was disappointing given it was open 2 hours before opening to general public. Didn't get as much accomplished as we had anticipated.

Not many attractions with FP's. And some didn't have the FP kiosks open. You had to hurry and get your FP's as they ran out rather quickly. And for WDW and DL vets, DLP FP's have only a 30 minute return window. Had to be more careful not to miss it while waiting in another line.

Pleasant surprise. I read a lot about smoking all over the park. Yes, we saw it on occasion but it wasn't nearly as bad as we expected.

Not a bad thing, just different. Lots of people holding spaces in the queues. It didn't bother us, but in the states you'd get the stink eye or a brash comment of line jumping. It really wasn't a big deal just something we noticed.

All in all a wonderful visit.

OH! Forgot to mention pin trading. I read a while back that CM's weren't as open to trading pins at DLP. My daughter never ran into that, all of the CM's were very sweet and let her take her time deciding which pin to trade.

We also ran into several kids with lanyards and they would look over each others pins too. Very cute. Had some nice conversations with fellow guests over pins. Always a treat!

sounds like a truly wonderful trip - I have to say I love DLP in the Spring, especially with the Swing into Spring season additions to the park.

Welcome back, sounds like you had an amazing trip

Loved Swing into Spring! Loved the Mary Poppins topiaries as you enter the park. Small but so well done.

It was funny because when we were in Paris my daughter wanted to buy a souvenir Eiffel Tower. We went to (what felt like a thousand) gift shops and she couldn't decide. Since she couldn't make up her mind (and I was tired of seeing the same things in every store) I said lets go get some ice cream and think about what to buy. Oops, we forgot to go back before catching the RER to the hotel. :(

Fast forward to DLP. We found a Swing into Spring Eiffel Tower (pricey but super cute) and the crisis was over. LOL. Come to find out when we got home and opened it is a limited edition piece. Only 400! Score!! I'd rather pay more for a unique piece.

So glad you enjoyed your time at dlp :)
Hope your Eiffel Tower brings back lovely memories of Paris and the Disney park :)

The Eiffel tower piece sounds cool. Glad to hear you had a great trip. We leave in 6 weeks for a similar trip.

I'm so glad you had such a good trip!! We were there a few years ago...we loved the park...but were not that thrilled with the hotel...but maybe we didn't really adjust our expectations enough for Europe :) But I agree with you about the castle and Phantom Manor for sure. Also I wish we had bought more pins!

Welcome back and what a happy trip! So glad you got to see DLP in the sunshine to show off its prettiest features. Would love to see a picture of your special Eiffel Tower please. :goodvibes

Wishing you a fabulous vacation! (FYI, get to Crush's Coaster as soon as Studios open. We did and still waited 80 minutes.)

Did you stay at Disneyland Hotel too?

I read good, bad, and ugly so I went in with low expectations. I was very surprised how nice it was. Sure the room had seen some wear, but it was spacious and clean. Breakfast was actually better than club level at WDW.

I'm already wishing we purchased more pins too! Only bought one. :( What was I thinking??

We were so lucky to have the sunshine both days! It truly is a beautiful park. I even admired the Weeping Willow tree starting to bloom by Peter Pan. Simple yet pretty.

I will get a picture for you tomorrow. It's proudly displayed in my daughters room and she's already tucked in for the night. :)

Here it is! I took from two sides so you could see both sides of the Swing into Spring/ Disneyland Paris tag. We found this at the World of Disney Store in Disney Village. You have to be careful though, the packaging doesn't protect the tip of the Eiffel Tower and we saw that a few were broken off. :( Thankfully ours made the journey home without incident.

That's lovely - a very special and "two-in-one" souvenir for your daughter and what a pretty and unusual version - well done! :)

Glad you had a lovely time! We went in March last year and although I know how pretty the park is, seeing the Spring blossom was lovely (and this was before the official Swing into Spring season started! Just natural trees!)

DD has pin traded in every visit over the past few years with the CMs and we've never had a problem!!
