Just back from the Magic on 2/16 on the 7 day eastern, went to travel agent on the 23rd one week after we got back and we booked the Western for February 1st 2003, we booked secret port-hole cabin 5020. We are so excited again to go, this will be #3 on the Magic, not yet to Barb and Tony, but we will catch them someday... LOL, anyone else on that cruise date?

Hi,
That is Great! Did they offer booking on board while you were there?

Randi (RAC)

Yeah, they did offer booking onboard, we still have the post card that was left in our room, we did not book on the ship, however we brought the card to our TA, and she is going to check with her Disney Rep. about it being applied to this cruise, we doubt it but you never know.

That is right you never know until you try. Can you tell me the current booking on board prices? We are going on our second cruise in May and may book again while we are on.

Thanks,
Randi (RAC)

I'd like to know the current an board prices also. Is there a big difference?

OK, I believe for the 7 day Magic it was $799 per person with a $150 stateroom credit, I'm doing this on memeory since our travel agent has the (coupon), there also were prices for the 3 and 4 day wonder but I cannott remember, hopefully somebody else can remember...
There was also certain dates on the bottom in little letters cannott recall those either.

Hope this helps...

Hi Norm and Kim-- You have to let us know, did Disney honor the postcard with the book on board price?

I will let you know as soon as my TA gets back to us, we did this on Saturday the 23rd..
Talk to you soon..

In the past Disney has been VERY particular about the onboard booking offer and it could ONLY be booked onboard to get the rates. I'll be interested to hear if anything has changed.

Glad you had a great time! :)

If DCL doesn't honor the postcard, you can sleep well at night knowing the onboard discount probably wouldn't have saved you a bundle. We booked onboard and when I got home I realized the total savings for our two adults, two kids in category six, is $210.00. We do get a shipboard credit of $150.00. I did write to guest communications because I felt that what they advertised as a fabulous rate was an overstatement. There are some weeks where the onboard postcard was valid and the savings would have been higher, but the week of Feb, 1 is considered value season. We will probably still go, but I did feel reeled into a quick decision based on the offer of a "fabulous" rate which isn't really the case.

Oh so it goes by the time of the year you decide to cruise. So basically its a STM rate. So Its not one price per head if you book on board. Let me know what Guest Communications has to say when they respond.

I just wrote a letter to AAA because the rep never told me about the stateroom credit and the free mugs, she also sounded very confused and I had to tell HER about STM. So I got a little concerned and didn't book my ressie with AAA, There response was "Sorry I guess we'll have to give the rep more "Disney training"

For a category six it was $1249 per adult and $399 per child. There are only certain weeks that you are allowed to book for the onboard savings. Guest Communications said they sent my letter to the approrpriate management, but it didn't sound like it was for any further consideration.
