Just wanted to share a few thoughts and answer any questions anyone has. We returned from our first stay at BWV since we became DVC members in 2000. DH and I were scheduled to fly down late Wednesday and return Sunday. Just a quick anniversary get away that we have done the past few years. It was a very rocky start. Our flight was cancelled so we had to spend the night in a nearby hotel while our studio/boardwalk view was sitting empty! We got a 6am flight for Thursday, arrived in Orlando around 10:30am, but waited for what seemed like a long time, with a lot of people for Magical Express. When we checked in, we knew we could not get our points back for the missed night because of the cancelled flight, but we did feel that we should be able to go from a 4 day DDP to a 3 day. It was quite a hassle; the front desk could not do anything about it. DH had to call Member Services, they did not want to help, and he finally got a supervisor at Member Services to get in touch with a supervisor at the check in desk. Finally they reduced it to a 3 day DDP. But enough with the negative
..
Our view was just wonderful! As we walked through the door, we had a front and center view of spaceship Earth. We could see Illuminations to the right and Wishes to the left. Long hallway, but well worth the trip. We had coffee each morning taking in the view and a glass of wine in the afternoon or evening.
The park crowds were very light. We did about 5 major rides and a few smaller ones the first hour at MK. Walked on to Test Track when at Epcot. At DS, we did ToT twice with no wait. Typhoon Lagoon had short waits for everything plus the water was very warm which I loved! Only ride with a long wait was Toy Story Mania.
We ate at Le Cellier which was simply fantastic. Great service, perfectly cooked steaks. Yum .cant say enough about it. Brown Derby was good, but Canada was a tough act to follow! Our counter service meals were also good.
With or without the rocky start, it was a wonderful long weekend! Ill be happy to answer any questions.
