We got back last night and could not have asked for a more amazing trip. To me, crowds felt medium/low, having been to DL as an AP holder the past 2 years. We had the 4-day Discover Disney ticket so we did one park a day with no hoppers.
Highlights:
LOTS of opportunities for 4th+ FP for headliners at every park except for DHS. I used the strategy of moving up my next FP as soon as I scanned into a ride, which usually worked. I was able to get additional FP+ for Soarin, Test Track, Space Mtn, Everest, and Navi River with lots of refreshing. I think the longest lines we waited in were for bag check coming into the park.
Minnie Vans are comfortable, but they were usually slower to arrive than the bus (12 minute wait or more), so we only actually used it once on our trip back to MK in the evening.
THANK YOU to the angel dad who gave us his rider swap pass to ride FoP. We didn't even plan to do Pandora, but I caught a random 2:40 FP for Navi so we were just wandering around. We happened to be walking past FoP when someone asked me if we had FP for the ride, then handed me a rider swap pass, which was perfect since we had 3 in our party.
FoP is AMAZING. I understand why people wait in line for hours for it. My son was crying literal tears of joy during the ride and kept saying "This is really happening, we're flying, it's so real, it's real." My daughter loved it too and said it was a 4000 on a scale of 1-10.
After HAE is a great time to catch some more rides at MK. We rode BTMRR 2x back to back with no wait and then walked on to 7DMT at 8:50 pm, which was great since I couldn't get a FP for it. As we came out of the cave the fireworks were going off, which was pretty awesome.
No issues with ride closures except for ToT, which had one elevator down while we were in line so they closed it to standby riders.
We stayed at the Yacht Club which is very nice but has very poor soundproofing. I liked the convenience of the IG for coming into Epcot - we were able to do FAE standby in the morning and only had about a 35 minute wait.
All in all couldn't have asked for more!
