We just got back from another great trip at WDW. I just had to come here and tell everyone what a great experience we had at the resorts.
AKV
This was our second visit here and it was just as good as the first one. We are owners here and SSR and the whole family agrees that AKV is the best! We were in a studio savannah view room. We checked in at about noon and there was a long line, the resort was very busy. This was on Friday Jan. 23rd. Our wait wasn't bad and our room was ready! They had my packages I had shipped and my owners locker and helped with our bags to the room. The room was spotless and perfect! We were on the Kudu trail(I think that's what it's called). we had a great view of the animals and saw so many. We even had our favorites, zebra and giraffes! Every CM we encountered said hello and were all so nice and friendly. We ate at the Mara twice and it was great. The resort was in great shape and it is so beautiful. We used the buses to go to Epcot once and DtD. Both times we had less than a 10 min. wait. Even going back to the resort was a minimal wait and we always had a seat. We only stayed for 2 nights and can't wait to go back.
BCV
We checked in early about 10:30am and our room was ready! We actually got to choose where we wanted to be. We had booked a 1 bedroom and I asked if we could be in a recently rehabed room. The CM said she didn't know how to get me one because they are "jumping around" with the rehab and aren't doing whole floors at a time. So, she told me she had a room that we could probably see Illuminations from and we took it. We were there celebrating our DD's bday and they gave her a bday pin. The room was clean enough but definitely didn't have a rehab yet. We did find somethings under the couch when we pulled it out to open the bed. A kids shoe, dirty tissues, crumbs. We did call housekeeping and they came right away. 3 people showed up and they apologized and gave us a pack of towels. We didn't need them but said thanks and that was that. A few days later I get a call from the front desk asking about the $6.99 charge for towels to my room(we didn't leave a credit card on file) they were looking for payment. I was mad and explained to them what happened and they took the charge off. No big deal but really, the nerve of them. Anyway, we had a pleasant stay there. DH was not a fan of the smell in the lobby. I was cracking up cause I told him how popular it is with lots of members. We used the kids club here(the kids have been there before) it was great as usual. Every CM we encountered at the resort was super nice. The location was great but we all agreed if we are going to be at that location, the BWV would be our top choice. We just like it better. Get ready for a shocker, my kids didn't like SAB!!
I was hyping it up and they didn't like it. They are 11 and 5 and they preferred the quiet pool! Go figure.
They had a great time at the arcade and we ate at the market place a few times and it was good and we also ate at B&C and it was good too.

We had to go over to see the BLT models. Well, we weren't too impressed. The decor is nice but not our thing. The location can't be beat so we are going to do an add on there. We will wait until the spring so we can pay in cash. I really thought DH was going to love it and I was really surprised with his reaction to the small model of the THV they had. He loved it! So did the kids and they all can't wait to stay there. He is so not the woodsy, treehouse type, but he loved the whole look of it.
I will post some pictures tonight. Let me know if anyone has any questions. I would be happy to answer them!
