Seaspray,

Glad to hear you had a great trip. We are contemplating a trip to the Poly. I know you have stayed at the WL. I love that everything at WL is under one roof. Did you find the layout of the Poly to be any problem? :flower:

Hi Jasminetigger:

We did love the fact that the Wilderness Lodge is all under one roof. But we never found the layout of the Polynesian to be a problem. We stay in the Hawaii building (concierge building), and I think it's in the best location at the resort because it's close to the marina to take the boat to the Magic Kingdom, it's close to the volcano pool, and a very short walk to the Great Ceremonial House and a short walk to TTC to get the Epcot monorail.

There are other buildings that are just as centrally located. Tikiman has maps and building location info for each of the longhouses at the Polynesian. Here's a link to his web site, you can check out the location, and "pros & cons" of each building: http://www.tikiman2001.homestead.com/

Hi Terry --

WOW, what a gorgeous view!!!! I'm not sure if you remember, but when we were originally planning our WDW trip this year, we were going to go to the Poly, and you were helping me out a little with the planning, then Katrina changed our plans!!!! I think that the next time we plan on going to the Poly, I'll have to get you to give me your expert advice again!!!! It looks like you had an amazing time!!! Did your boys not go on this trip??? I remember them from your pics from last time. I'm looking forward to the rest of your photo's. The Polynesian is my favorite.......... and I'm so wanting to stay there!!! Maybe next time!!

Glad you had such a great time!!!! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the info. We head to WDW in just 45 days, I can hardly believe it.

Can you tell me more about the lounge? How was the food? Any difefrence from before? I'm so glad to hear there is milk and juice....my kids will be thrilled about the chocolate milk!! I's especially like to know about the breakfast items. Is there cereal? What kind? How about muffins or bagels?

Thanks

Julia

Hi Julia:

The food in the lounge was great. I didn't notice a difference from our last stay which was this past July.

The breakfast items that I can remember are: pineapple bread (I LOVE this and had a piece for breakfast each morning), cheese danish, one more there was apple danish, cinnamon rolls, bagels (and a toaster if you want to toast your bagel), there was a dispenser which held 4 different kinds of cereal including Froot Loops, Frosted Flakes, and I can't remember the other two, I'm thinking maybe Cheerios was one of them. lol There was orange juice in a dispenser as well as apple juice, skim milk, and whole milk. Plus the juice boxes and chocolate milk boxes. There were baskets that held packets of cream cheese, jams and jellies, and butter. Oh, there was also a large bowl of cut up fruit with cantelope, honeydew melon, and grapes. There was always a bowl of whole fruit in the lounge; oranges, apples, and bananas. There may have been muffins, I just don't remember because I always went for the pineapple bread :)

Wow awesome Pictures! Someday I will stay there ! Michelle

SeaSpray,

Thanks, for the info. We are looking to stay concierge at the Poly. I have read there are concierge rooms with a garden view and I believe lagoon view. Are all the concierge rooms in the Hawaii building? Or is there another building with concierge rooms. The Hawaii building sounds great with a great location. What was your room view category? :flower:

Thanks for the update. We will be doing breakfast in the louge every day (we're not into big sit down breakfasts when we could be in the parks!!), and my kids all like different things. I'm glad to know there will be something that all my kids like!

Your pictures are beautiful.....it makes me wish we were staying lagoon view!! Oh well, we'll still have the view from the lounge.

Julia
