I don't have a lot of time as I do have to unpack, do wash and such. Tomorrow, I have a busy day but hope to get back here. Also, I'll post quickly and hopefully, more later.....

We just back after driving and I'll say the driving wasn't nearly as bad as we had thought...

We had great weather, HOT :sunny: and humid but that is to be expected. The rain was 10 - 15 mins most days....did get a t-storm one day that was closer to 30 mins.

We avoided EMH (our choice) and had walk on rides, many times. If there was a wait, we are talking 10-15 mins MAX. We found that some of the times posted were inaccurate and when it said 20 mins, it was 10 mins. We did use fastpass on some rides but then when we went for our time....we found we didn't even need it as the stand by line was so short.

I found 27 CROC sightings and sorry to say that some of you may have had them on but with lime green being so popular, I didn't see any lime green ribbons or tags of any sort to say you were a DISer. Also, one day at MGM, I saw 5 prs but I was sitting, waiting for my family, with the backpack and the people walking were on the other side of the street. I kept my eyes open.

HOWEVER, I did run into jjan and her beautifult daughter, Ashley. I went up to her outside of Soarin' as she not only had CROCS but the lime green mickey head. It was a pleasure to meet her. We then were 2 tables away from each other at Le Cellier that evening and chatted again.

Speaking of Soarin', we went right on, first thing in the morning and turned around to FF it so we then went on Journey through the Land.

Lights, Motor, Action was an OK thing for us....glad we saw it, wouldn't see it again. We did FF.

We saw Spectro & Wishes one nite and both were so amazing. We had an excellent spot (thanks to some tips from fellow Dis'ers). We saw Illuminations another nite and Fantasmic a third nite. We saw the sign for the AAA area for Wishes and don't think it's a great spot.

We did not do the FDP (more on that on the restaurant board when I get a chance).

We used the AAA parking area and thought it was perfect....as I was told, MK was a bit longer to get into due to not being let off right there but we found it to be perfect for us. The added walk outweighed the disadvantages, for us. We always got in the first row for Diamond parking (will post more on the trans board, again when I have a chance).

The crowds were manageable and we had a very magical trip.

I'll be happy to answer any questions and can't wait to go through the board and find out about others experiences and see what else I can answer....

Hi there. :) Hope you enjoyed your trip, & welcome back! I'm glad that everyone got back safe.

My DH and I saw wishes from affar 3 years ago and we loved it. Unfortunately we didn't know anything about it or what to expect so we had a terrible view. Please let me know where to view this year we are leaving soon and will hopefully have multiple oportunities to enjoy the show.

welcome back  sounds like a good time, hoping to here a full trip report as soon as you can

Great report, Maxaroni! Sounds like you had a really good time. I was wondering if you would let me in on your viewing spot for Spectro/Wishes? Did you have to stake it out hours in advance?

I too would love to know where you saw spectro.

Trissy, I see that you too are from IN and leaving in 8 days! So are we!

We had never seen Spectro or Wishes in their entirety and wanted to this year. We did have to stake out a spot early...we found a bench on Main St.right near an ice cream shop (can't recall the name of the ice cream parlor). We got talking to another family who had been to see both on another night and recommended this spot. Both DH and I have bad backs/necks/shoulders and knew that we could not sit on the curb. Therefore, we staked out the bench and it did get crowded but when Spectro started, we stood on the bench, high above everyone. We then sat back down to await Wishes and just stood up (on the ground) to see Wishes.

We had thought of a few other spots to view (on top of the train station for one) but once we saw the bench, we grabbed it. For us, it was perfect as we had the bench to sit on.

We had asked a CM about a spot when we were in Frontierland and she said that was perfect for Spectro as it was alot less crowded. However, she then added it wasn't the best spot for Wishes.

Now, another night we were at MK and didn't watch either as we took advantage of the lesser crowds on the rides. We walked through the Tomorrowland Noodle Restaurant (not sure of the exact name) and since it's closed, people were sitting at those tables and it was very empty and not crowded. Now, it wasn't an 'up close and personal' view to spectro but you could see all of the high floats.
