Just back...A few thoughts

Just back from 10 days in FL. The parks were brilliant as always. We had no waits for anything. Rip Ride Rocket is FUN! There was a wait for that one later in the day. I think it was 75 minutes! Ate at Louies. Pretty decent. Islands was deserted. Hogwarts looks amazing! Queue for Dragons is seriously jacked! We were the family of the day. My 12 year old got to open the park. He was stoked! Ate lunch at Mythos for the first time. VERY GOOD and just lovely inside. Wonderful server. Completely impressed. A new tradition. Ate at Margaritaville for dinner. Love the atmosphere but second time we've been unimpressed with the food. "Big Rita" was fabulous though. YUM! Weather was cooler than in trips past. I am still pi$$ed that they took Back to the Future out and changed it to Simpsons.

I am just dying to see WWOHP so thinking about a trip in October for HHN. I'll keep my eye to the boards to teach me all I need to know about it. Thanks for all you guys do!

I hope the crowds are like that for me too, I'm leaving friday for universal and will be there untill the 12th. I am also upset they got rid of back to the future as it is one of my favorite movies and I think I only rode it once, but I am also intersted in the simpsons and I have never been to Islands.

Great report, I too rode the Simpsons in California and I thought it was terrible.

Gosh, we really liked the Simpsons ride and thought it was a blast. We rode it three times in one day (the one in California). One of our favorites.

However, we never made it to Universal to ride Back to The Future before it was taken out, so we can't compare the Simpsons ride to it. I think maybe we missed out....but at least we don't know what we missed out on.

I rode both Back To the Future and The Simspons ride. Although I loved BTTF I like the Simpsons better.

It has been YEARS since I last visited Universal. I LOVED Back to the Future and King Kong. I didn't know BTTF was gone! I knew King Kong was though....

I rode BTTF and Smpsons, they really aren't that different except for the video you are watching. If you pay attention you can even pick up parts of the simulation that were in both rides. BTTF was a classic movie but the Simpsons is a riot and a worthy replacement.
