Hi all just got back last night and I can tell you, WE ARE TIRED. Went to Typhoon Lagoon on Fri. Wow what a great place went on that Crush and Gusher about 20 times what a great ride. When we got there on Weds night we were excited that we were finally at Disney. So up comes the sun on Thursday, and boy did it get hot out quick. Wasn't used to that in a while, but anyway, go down to eating place at Pop Century and we saw some " love bugs" around so we said to ourselves " I forgot that there here this time of year". No big deal because they don't bite or sting, just annoying that they land on you every 2 seconds. The dining plan was great. If anyone was thinking about going with the dining plan it's worth every penny. Crowds were a little busy when we got there but they seemed to get better as the week went on. Sun, Mon, Tues, All parks were empty. Maybe that had to do with the heat or the time of the year. 5-10 minute wait on almost everything, except soarin or test track. Overall had a great time.

fantastic with the crowds.......thanks for giving us a glimpse of your vacation......How long was Soarin and TestTrack to get on.......two of my most favorite rides......thanks again

I can't believe Florida is so hot yet, when WI is preparing for winter. Glad you had a positive attitude with the Love Bugs.

Test Track was at the most a 20 minute wait. Soarin was about 40 minutes that was the busiest ride while we were down there. We went on BTMR at the MK on one really hot day and will say never again. Just think of standing in the que line waiting to get on the ride with 95+ temps outside. They have fans in there but they didn't help one bit. There is one other thing I would like to mention about our trip, My wife and I put the lime green mickeys on our window at the resort to signify that we are DIS members. We DID NOT SEE any other window at that resort or on anyone's backpack at the parks with these marking on them to show that fellow DIS'ers were there. We felt all alone :sad1: . We were starting to think that there was no one else there from the boards. It made the wife a little upset.

We were there from Tues 9/19 to Sat 9/23. The place was so empty on Tues and Wed. We were so shocked because we really have never seen it so uncrowded before! But on Thursday, the crowds picked up, and it was crazy by the weekend.

I agree that the lovebugs were just a nuisance. By the end of the first day, we all got used to them. I was just careful we didn't bring any home with us!! lol.

We noticed that we should have stayed away from the EMH parks. I know everyone on the DIS says to stay away from EMH parks all the time, but we thought since the crowds were so low it would be ok. NOPE!

I agree about the heat! It was very humid in the mornings, but it was manageable. By around 12:30 it started getting HOT. We would head back to the CR to swim, then go back to the parks after 5pm. By 5pm, the awful heat was just about gone. Once the sun set, it was beautiful weather.

I also didn't notice anyone with the lime green Mickey Heads!

I think I'll head back to WDW in September again, but this time, plan on getting there on a Saturday and leaving on Thurs or Friday.
