We had a wonderful time and wonderful food! We had the dining plan and ate very well! We ate at:
-O'Hana's dinner
-Hollywood and Vine for the Character lunch
-Le Cellier lunch
-Whispering Canyon for dinner
-Breakfastsoarus at AK
-1900 Park Faire dinner- temp pre-plated at Grand Floridian Cafe

I would have to say I really enjoyed the GFC dinner and O'Hana's.
My DH loved O'Hana's and Whispering Canyon.
My kids just loved it all!!

Any questions, just ask and I will give details!:)

How did you enjoy Donald's Breakfast? I am probably going to cancel my ADR as we have too many "get up and go early" mornings which defeats the point of relaxing on vacation! I am thinking we can see Donald at Camp Minnie Mickey and assume the breakfast is pretty standard. I am doing the Ohana breakfast the day before and Garden Grill another morning. Did your family enjoy Breakfastosourus??

Glad to hear you had good dinning experience. I am very interested in dinner at 'Ohana. We have an adr for 4 adults and 3 kiddos, 4, 2, 2,. How long did you spend here, from the time you were seated? I have heard they rush you out, is there away to delay this and relax with our meal? I hear there are childrens silly games and am hoping if the kids arent enjoying the food they will be having fun anyway. tia for any info and comments:) also would it be ok to ask server to take group photo at table or are they so busy rushing around?

We really did enjoy our breafast there! There was lots to eat-the characters came around in a timely manner and spent some time with the kids. It was not crowded. The only problem we had was they take your picture after you check in and then while your eatng they bring it to your table and you can purchase the package which consisited of a 5x7 and 4 4x6s (I think that was their size). Well, noone brought ours, so I went back to the photographer and asked her where we pick them up and she someone to find them and it took awhile to get this straightened out. We would do it again. We had ADRs for 930 and we got right in-as a matter of fact, they called us while we were getting our picture taken!

We were there probably about 11/2 hrs or so and that is because we took our time because there was a little rain shower going on ouside and we were headed to MK. I have heard also they rush you out, but they were so nice and refilled our drinks several times and took care of our table when we were up taking pictures of our kids. The server even took us over to the fire pit and intrpduced us to the people behind there. Everyone calls you cousin because it is "family". One of the severs sat down in my DH chair (he was with our boys in the front taking a picture) and he talked to my DD and played with her for a bit. It was a really relaxed atmosphere and we really enjoyed it. There were a lot of activities the kids could participate in- ours did the coconut races, limbo, and a maraca parade around the whole restaurant! They loved it!! My oldest DS did not like the food they served so they said no problem and let him order chicken fingers and fries and all 3 got the make your own sundaes. They came around several times and asked us if we would like more meat and other foods we were getting low on. It was wonderful! I'm glad we had a good experience here and would do it again with no hesitation! We were seated right away, everyone was so nice and it was great! You'll have fun!! You would definitely have time to have a server take your picture-they had time to sit with us!

How was 1900 Park Fare? We are going in October. Will it still be at GF in October? Also, how was the character interaction? Who was there?

TIA

We loved it- we were worried since it was pre-plated and from the things I read here, but we were pleasantly surprised and we loved it! We were a little early and we got seated right away-no waiting. The characters came around in a timely fashion and we did not have to wait long between each one. First up were Cinderella's mice- Suzy and Perla- they wre cute and my DD loved them. Next was the Fairy Godmother, she stopped and chattted with us , signed our books and took pictures. Next was Cinderella and Prince Charming! They were so nice to the kids. While Cinderella was siging the books, Prince Charming bent down and talked to my DD and then to my DSs. While he was signing, Cinderella talked to the kids- they seemed to be in no hurry and it was so nice! Suzy and Perla actually came to our table 3 times each!! So there was a lot of interaction!
I'm not sure if the GFC will still be doing this in October-regardless I think you won't be disappointed! HAve fun!

Hollywood and Vine- is the lunch menu the same as the dinner buffet? I can't decide between 50's or Vine.

Luch is a character meal and dinner is not. I was not impressed with the way the characters came around for lunch- we were right in the middle and my DD only wanted to see June and JoJo and those are the 2 that kept skipping us- we finally went to one of the character helpers and told them we had been there for a good hour and June and Jojo kept walking past us- it took forever to see them! For the character portion I was not impressed and wouldn't do it again. The food was good though.
