Just back 7/11 from POR

We stayed in AB room 1756 corner room with a king size bed 2nd floor. We had 3 really great days of bus service and one really bad day of bus service, which was the last day. Any questions just ask. I will try to post some pictures later. All in all we had a great time DH and I. Out of all the moderates we like CBR the best mostly for the theme we found the buses to be pretty much the same at all the moderate resorts. We loved the Pasta Bar and the Salad Bar at POR.
The first problem we had was with the bus to DTD/TL over an hour wait, there was a CM there who was very nice, but he was not able to get us a bus for us he was in charge of Epcot buses and they were running very good, he did give me a phone number to call, I called and asked them to send at least 2 buses because we had that many people waiting, we were at the South Bus Stop at Riverside. On our first day we did take a boat to DTD, it was just to hot at 11 am to take the boat again. 2 buses came and we got on the second bus and off to DTD we went. Coming back we wanted to take a ride to CBR our favorite resort. We got on the bus and we went to the second stop at DTD and waited and waited because the next bus driver did not show up on time. DH talked to the bus driver who was waiting to take his lunch and he asked us how the buses were running for us. We said great until today. He told us that Disney no longer runs the buses that they have some one else taking care of the buses now. The next bus driver showed up and she had to do a complete inspection of the bus, we started to worry that we would not make it back for our 5:30 ME pick-up and got off the bus for a POR bus that had just pulled up, guess what he had to wait for a new driver also. It was a long wait and a long inspection, but we made it back to POR in time for our ME bus. I think we ended up leaving around 2:00 stopping at TL first and then off to POR.
I will let you know what happened with ME back to the Airport next post. It was not good

I hated the transportation at POR...sorry it wasn't great for you either.

We did have a great time at POR and only had the one day that we had the problem with the buses. I am glad it was our last day.

This is the room DH did not want 1716 he felt there would be to many people walking by, it was right by the pool if you want to be that close to the quiet pool.

Last day and the rain came down.

I'm glad you had a good stay at POR (my 2nd favorite mod ) Sorry about the bus service though, I think we've all been there at least once with WDW transportation. I was, however, a little miffed at your post when you said the CM gave YOU a number to call. I'm sorry, but were'nt YOU the guest? And they made YOU make the call? Why couldn't he call for all of you standing there waiting? Sorry, but after waiting over an hour, I believe that HE should have done that for you. I hope I don't get flame for being dissappointed in the WDW cm, I dont mean to be rude........I'm just sayin'

The CM was very nice he had a lot of upset people standing around him. He told us he was only in charge of Epcot buses, they had Disney Cruise line buses picking up for Epcot and Yellow Mears buses also picking up for Epcot. Some of the buses would not have anyone on them. He was on the phone talking to someone, and he was the one who told us when was the last time a DTD/TL bus came by. I asked him for a phone number because I was concerned about all the people and wanted them to know we needed more than just one bus. They told me when I called that they had all their buses out and they were doing the best they could, I was not the first call they had had about this issue. Some people got to the bus stop at 10:40 for TL and they waited till 11:40. I was not upset, but there was a lot of upset people that were heading to TL. Some people ended up changing there minds and going to BB. I bet this is going on at other resorts.

We really enjoy POR and this was the only day we had trouble with buses. We waited at both the West Depot and the South Depot at different times of the day.
