Just back 6/11 from HHI

Hi-
We just returned from HHI on Friday.....what an awesome trip!!!
We stayed in a studio in the main lodge building---got the marsh view, third floor I had requested and our room was ready at 12 noon!!!!

We spent everyday except for one at the beach in the mornings until 1ish.
The ocean water was warm and the weather couldn't be beat.
We went to the outlets----spent a bit of money there!!

We also did "A Private Affair" with Chef Gordon----better than awesome.
He is the best.
Webmaster Doc---he spoke kindly of you!

Can't wait to try head back next June---hopefully (7 month window).

There's a reason for that! Wait-I do have something negative-the CMs are much too "perky" early in the morning. They're always so friendly-sometimes I wonder if Disney puts something in the water!
Do you remember your room #? Also, what did you have at the Private Affair? Looking for ideas!

We can't wait to get back there this summer. Glad you enjoyed A Private Affair. Chef Gordon sure makes that a special evening.

Our room number was 1136. Main building, 3rd floor, room #6.
It was a studio with a beautiful view from the balcony.

For our dinner with Chef Gordon:
Sort of a modified greek salad which was soooo good....that was our appetizer.
We had filet mignon and crab cakes for our entree. He also prepared a delicious rice for the starch and zucchini (yum!).
The best part was this incredible strawberry shortcake. He cooked the strawberries in balsamic vinegar, served it over angel food cake, and made a flavored whipped cream.
The meal was well worth the cost.
He is a really nice man and we hope to return to Hilton Head next year and book a second dinner with Chef Gordon.
It was one of the highlights of our trip!
