Hi all~
Wanted to write about our first trip "home" as BCV owners. It was wonderful!
Started out in a blinding snowstorm for Orlando. When we got there it was muggy and about 78 degrees. Heaven! Picked up our rental at National's EA (kept saying to DH "this is too easy!) and were on our way. We made our grocery stop at Albertson's on Orange Blossom Trail. Then off to BCV.
Arrived at BCV in a torrential downpour. I could barely see where to drive, but made it to the Villas ok. Check in was a breeze; I thought I might not hear my first "welcome home" but the new CM didn't disappoint. Checked in to Rm. 336, a 1BR in the center of the building looking out on the quiet pool. I had requested Epcot view, but our view was so nice, I will request this one again next time.
I sort of cautiously checked around, having read reports of people checking in to a dirty room. Everything appeared fine, til I got in the bathroom. The bathroom floor was major dirty. Could have called mousekeeping, but didn't, as we wanted to get going, so I just cleaned it myself.
As far as park volume, the parks didn't seem to be too crowded. For the most part, we walked on to rides without a long wait. Only had to Fastpass for Test Track and Splash Mountain. The new sequence on the Tower of Terror was......challenging first thing in the morning. I think I liked it better the old way, as our sequence just kept going......and going......and going!
Ate at Boma for dinner, which was excellent. The desserts were as fabulous as everyone has posted. Also had a great meal at Spoodles and of course had to eat at Beaches and Cream for the best hamburger in the World! CM said they are trying to figure out how to expand, but nothing definite yet.
Also did an add-on while there. Our guide said that BCV is now over 75% sold with complete sellout anticipated probably June.
If anyone has any questions, please feel free to PM me.
Nancy
