Hi all, just wanted to share our thoughts about a week of Disney Dining with some days on and some off the basic DDP. We had the meal plan for 4 nights at the BWV then off for 3 nights at SSR. There were five adults, my parents, two aunts and myself. My parents and I are WDW regulars but my aunts have only been two times with the last trip 6 years ago. We ate for 5 days on the meal plan (shared some of the large CS, like WPE) and figured that our total of food came to about $1,000, we paid only $800.
TS meals were: Whispering Canyon, PrimeTime, Ohanas and LeCellier (lunch)
Best meal by far was LeCellier, my father said it was the best filet mignon he ever had.
CS meals: Boardwalk Bakery (lunch), Wolfgang Puck Express (breakfast and dinner), The Land at EPCOT (breakfast), Artist Pallette (breakfast and dinner), Cooke's (lunch)
Best meal was WPE for breakfast, the breakfast pocket and cornflake french toast were both excellent. For lunch, we enjoyed the tuna sandwhiches and fruit cups from Boardwalk Bakery.
Snacks: Marshmallow squares from Seashore Sweets, cookies and candies from Artist Pallette.
If you sit down to dinner every night and eat dessert the meal plan is definately worth it.
Beware at The Land in EPCOT, they charged my father 3 CS credits because he had an extra croissant and the cashier never told him to get the extra drinks. The kicker is his room card said 2 ADULTS, he wasn't questioned just CHARGED. I didn't find out until two days later and my father had made the purchase while I went on Soaring.
