Just Back ... 4 days BCV, Week at Vero

Were still relitivly new to DVC and are excited about staying at HH or VB in the future. Do you know if there are any jetski rental place at or near either?

bunny 19 - I smiled when I read your post, because like you, I am so used to booking meals and activities at WDW with PS deadlines. I called VB several times to find out what I had to do when to ensure that we were signed up for all that we wanted, especially since we were there at Easter. I learned that you don't do that there, other than meals which you can make PS's 30 days in advance. When you check in, go to Eb and Flos to find out what you need to do for the activities that week. The front desk gives you a daily calendar when you check in listing what is happening at the resort during your stay. It is very laid back. The Unbirthday Party is very popular, and you sign up the day of the party. I think you need to line up around 8 to 8:30AM. I do not know the cost, but I bet if you post on this board someone will know. Enjoy your trip!

Mike and Natalie - At the entrance to the beach from the VB resort, they were renting all sorts of stuff for the beach. (We rented an umbrella and lounge chairs one day). I just asked my DH and he said that he thinks they rent Waverunners for $50 per 1/2 hr for members and $55 per 1/2 hour for nonmembers. He thought that he saw two there (there were never many on the water during our stay and we did not rent them). You may want to see if other members here know or call the resort to confirm. I have never been to HHI.

We just got back from Vero ourselves (see my other post).

The unbirthday party is free...and you can only sign up for it the morning of the event. They had two unbirthday sessions this week...and ask that you only take part in one so that everyone gets a chance. You sign up at Eb and Flo's which is right next to the pool. People were lining up by 8:30...I think they open at 9.

Also, the Thursday activity schedule posted above was probably the most jam packed day of activities (along with Monday). There weren't quite as many activities on Tues/Wed...but they were fun. The Rec staff also left a message on our voice mail about extra activities for the teens (dodgeball and something else)...so it seems they come up with new things if the number of kids warrants it.

Go and have a great time! It was one of our best vacations ever in terms of relaxing (mom and dad) and fun things to do for the kids!

If you like massages...theirs is a bargain...and Larissa is a wonderful therapist.

I'd like more info on the wave runners. Do you rent them right at the resort? Thanks

We're so looking forward to our first trip home to BCV (only a few more days! :cool1: ) What room did you have? Was the view good?

We are going in July too more specifically July 24th-29th at Vero and then To the wilderness lodge for 4 days! Thanks for posting some of the activities, they sound pretty interesting. We also read about the Turtle Walk, its every monday in june and july, i think, we plan on signing up later on today for that, it seems pretty interesting you get to watch them hatch and then each family memeber gets to adapt one and name it! So we r going to try that!!!

I think our room number at the BCV was 544. It was a studio with a view of Epcot and Illuminations. Other than the fireworks it was a very quiet, nice room.

That is all of the information that I have on the wave runners at Vero, since we did not rent them. The rental was at the resort entrance to the beach. Perhaps if you post another thread on this board you can get information from someone who can help you.

Have great trips!
