Just back--3 nights at ASMo, 1 night at WL

Had asked for Dalmatians, but got Mighty Ducks--which was fine b/c it was so close to ASMu, we used their food court and bus transpo. It also seemed to be less crowded and more quiet than Dalmatians (when we arrived at 11PM there were a ton of unsupervised teens and pre-teens going door to door "caroling" loudly on the 2nd floor of Dalmatians...!) The bus service was fabulous--we never waited more than 5 minutes, and most times a bus was waiting when we arrived. Mousekeeping was adequate.

WL was crowded when we checked in on Sat. (Bellhop said it's nearly full). Arrived around 2PM for a surprise 1-night stay w/DH for our 2nd anniverary . Had paid for a woods view, and not sure if that's what we got--we overlooked a roof, the bus station, and the parking lot (to the side of us). Oh well. I wouldn't pay extra for the woods view next time, since you can't guarantee it'll be a good one. we were over the main lobby, which was noisy from about 8AM to 11PM. The bed and pillows were fabulous, especially after three nights at ASMo!!! (Not that we slept badly there, the pillows were just kinda matted down). Plus, I can sleep on a picket fence at WDW, since I'm always drop dead tired at the end of the day!

Happy to answer any questions that I can. Oh, we also did a Wishes cruise (magical!) and ate at Artist Pointe on Sat. night.

From what I've read, the Standard Rooms risk the parking lot view and only the Standards overlook the lobby.We've always gotten the woodsview---which overlooks the dock area and, well, woods!
I wonder what happened since you'd paid for the woodsview?!?!?

I don't know--possibly we did end up with a standard view and I wasn't "up" on my WL knowledge enough to know. We definitely didn't see any dock or water. Oh well. We still enjoyed our stay.
