Hi. Just some quick reviews--ask if I don't give enough details.
Columbia Harbour House (lunch)--we love this place for lunch. The food is a little different than normal counter service. Hubby and I love the hummus sandwich, my sister liked the clam chowder, and my kids love their chicken. Plus we love to sit outside at the tables by the riverboat. I bought some cut up fruit from the stand outside which was a nice addition to the lunch (esp. for my kids). Always an A+.
Ohana (dinner)--This was wonderful as always. They had hula hoops instead of hula dancing. Meat was good, dips great, and they gave me the recipe (without asking) for the wings and salad dressing since we were all raving about them. And I never feel rushed at this restaurant. A
Wispering Canyon (dinner)--we got Hedda Lettuce this time, she's fun. We usually get the AYCE BBQ, and it was the usual fare. Pulled pork and potatoes were great, I also like the chicken, the guys liked the ribs. My SIL got Sue's Sassy Steak (because her name is sue and she loves steak so she thought it was fate) and said it was very good. Atmosphere was very good. I did see a couple of people who obviously didn't know what the "atmosphere" would be and weren't sure if the waitstaff were kidding. Pretty funny. B+
ESPN (dinner)--never tried it before and were pleasantly surprised. Burgers were great, the guys liked the HOT wings, and my kids and sister split what looked like chili fries. The only problem was our server was a Patriots fan
but she was nice to us anyway. A
Cape May Breakfast--we did this the morning we were checking out. I felt very rushed and think the breakfast is standard fare, nothing better. It's ok (and convenient for us when we stay at the BCV) but nothing special. Next time we'll probably try Crystal Palace. C
Germany (dinner)--we love this place, but I was nervous because my brother and SIL were with us and they are picky eaters. To our surprise they did fine. SIL ate the chicken and kids' mac and cheese and said it was good. My brother got what looked like pork chops and said it was great. They loved the show and atmosphere (a surprise, I thought they would think it was corny). And we all liked our beer even though my hubby almost cried when he couldn't get Becks Dark. B+
Canada (lunch)--most had the cheese soup and french dip sandwich. SIL had the burger (which she described as melt in your mouth good). Everyone in the group said it was the best meal of the trip. A+
Hurricane Hannahs (too often)--I can vouch for the strawberry and banana dacquiris, and everyone else loved the Hurricane Hannahs. Kids got some snacks there. The staff is lots of fun. A
Beaches and Cream (late at night)--got the Kitchen Sink. It was fun, but they mixed ours up with another one so ours had stuff that the kids wouldn't eat. I didn't feel like mentioning it, so we just ate around things. Didn't eat there again (even though we were staying at BCV) because the wait was always so long. It's a hard place with a big group.
I think that's it (I cooked a lot). We used the DDE experience (email) with no trouble. Saved a lot of money. I ordered my card Feb 1, got the email Feb 3, and it says it expires March 31, 2006. Hopefully we'll get another trip out of it before it expires.
And make PS's! Not only was it hard to get a couple after we got there (my son was sick so we had to rearrange the original itinerary alot), but when I called I was usually on hold over 1/2 hour!
