Me and my mom just came back from our mother daughter/birthday celebration stay at Pop.
The weather was fantastic all week! We are super lucky to have made it out before the cold front showed up
We went this exact week last year, and were worried it was gonna be way busier this year. But it felt about the same. With our fastpasses we were able to do everything we wanted with low waits. The longest thing we waited for was Santa Goofy and Pluto at AK
. It was about an hour wait and we didn't expect it to take that long.
A couple more things after that long story...
Mobile ordering is a GOD SEND. Only once did it take a while for our food to be done.
At Aloha Isle mobile ordering is best, as they have a person there JUST for mobile orders and my dole whip was out basically instantly.
We did the pirates adventure interactive game thing and it was so much fun! Only three maps were working at the time, but we did them all and were marked as completed. If you want to do some relaxing walking around adventure land I'd totally recommend trying it out.
I was more of a "wear your birthday button only on your birthday" kind of girl, but a CM this trip told me I should wear it the whole week. And so I did! I got some free desserts at some quick service places, and all the birthday wishes made the trip really special. I am a changed person now LOL
The buses at Pop were great all week!... UNTIL we had to wait 50 min for a bus from AK back to Pop. It was so annoying! I would just suggest to add in some extra travel time in case you are as unlucky as us
PHEW that was a lot. A couple annoying things happened at Pop (posted in the Pop thread about one of them)
but other than that, this trip was really great!

It was such an amazing ride! Right after we rode I KNEW I had to ride again. So once we tapped our third fastpass for the Safari I kept refreshing the app like a mad woman... And before we even got on the Safari jeep I had another FOP for 5 minutes later! Once we tapped for FOP I started refreshing again. And got another FOP! But we decided we wanted to ride the River Journey, which surprisingly was harder to get. Once I found it I traded my FOP for it. After we ate at the Satuli Canteen (Which was REALLY GOOD btw) we rode that. I was so underwhelmed by the ride, and the Shaman wasn't even out! It was just a video 
After we tapped for that I couldn't find another FOP so I decided to give up as my mom said she didn't want to ride anymore LOL. But lo and behold I tried a couple more times later after we walked around Pandora and got one more FOP for myself.
Moral of this story is if you can, book all your fastpasses right in the morning! I'm sure I was able to get all those FOP fastpasses because everyone else was still on their original three fastpasses. And REFRESH CONSTANTLY! There is hope for same day passes.
