Just Back!(11/21-11/25) Part 1

[Soccer Princess]

Who: Me(16-loves Tinkerbell) and mom(40s- probably her last disney trip for a while-Loves Eeyore)

Left Louisville 1:15 on 11/21. Correction-SUPPOSSED to leave Louisville at 1:15. Our flight was oversold and they asked for volunteers. Finally we agreed to be bumped ($300 In Delta travel vouchers each) and we left at 1:55. We Were suppossed ot have a straight flight to Orlando but now we had a layover in Atlanta. The plus was we got to ride a big plane from Atlanta to Orlando unlike our tiny one to Atlanta. They also upgraded us to first class to Orlando.

Our flight from Atlanta however was delayed for about 30-45 minutes b/c of mechanical problems. Hmm.. We safely arrived in Orlando a little after 6

We used Mears .Now we have used them before but I swear to you it took FOREVER to get to our hotel. Everyone riding with us agreed. Or maybe we were just a little antsy for Disney.

Checked in (stayed in Home Run 9_ Requested Touchdown 10) and went right to Epcot.Got there at 8:40.Just in time for Illuminations. Walked over to UK and found a bench right behind R&C Patio..perfect! Got fries and drink from Fish stand.Great view of Illuminations ..beautiful as usual.

Went back to our hotel after this to rest up from our long day of traveling. Part 2 tomorrow!

I always volunteer to be bumped I love those vouchers Sounds like you're off to a pretty good start. I'm looking forward to reading about the rest of your trip.

in to much of a hurry to get to Disney to take them up on it.....two round trip tickets to anywhere......and first class to go to Orlando airport.......now that is to much....but we didn't do it.......that is the draw of DISNEY........thanks so much for the great send off
