Back from a long weekend in Orlando. The weather was absolutely gorgeous - warm and sunny! Having been so many times during various months, this is one of the best times to go.
Didn't stay in the "world" this time - horrors! Had a free Marriott stay so we were at the Spring Hill Suites on Vineland Road just off of Rt 535. It was OK. Continues to reaffirm that the cheapest room at a Disney resort is better than most rooms off property. Hated the driving back and forth too from the hotel - missed the Disney bus system!
Spent Friday afternoon (Halloween) in Magic Kingdom - what a great time to go! The kiddies were in their resorts getting their costumes on. We walked onto most rides. The best was 10 minutes for Space Mountain from the time we entered the building until we exited the building - with no Fast Pass! Make a note - spend more Halloween Fridays in Magic Kingdom!
Spent Saturday in Sea World - hadn't been for 8 years. Had a ball enjoying the "whale"!
Today it was a few hours at Epcot - again no lines. 5 minutes for Test Track singles line. 10 minutes for Mission Space singles line. Food and Wine festival was very evident.
So where was everyone? Downtown Disney! Spent a couple of hours here before driving home - what a zoo!! Disney has lots of new merchandise out. A new theme "Where Magic Lives". Very cool!
Less than 2 months until our first stay at the Yacht Club for Christmas - yee haw!!!
