Mecook -- what day did you read they closed MK at 11:30 due to 125,000 people? Did you say Tues.? Wow, we thought the crowds were good early in the week. Guess I'm glad we were at Epcot on Tues.!

I also read (on another post) about MK closing on Tuesday, and it just is not true. I was at MK last Tuesday, and it wasn't too busy at all. I was on Main Street around noon and people were coming and going with plenty of room everywhere - there certainly was no closure on Tuesday!

But boy, I am glad I went home Wednesday, and missed that Thursday madhouse! :)

Just got back today from a week at the Poly.

Wonderful trip; wonderful hotel; but definitely MUCH more crowded than we expected.

Holiday weekend was undoubtedly a factor as some school districts in the South, I am told, do a "Fall Break" and many Massachusetts schools give their kids off on Friday AND Monday.

Not quite the peak crowds, but for this January-September traveler, the parks seemed crowded to me.

Have to agree re. the atmosphere however. Previously CofP and Timekeeper have often been closed. Heck, I don't even remember the Plaza Pavillion restaurant being open. This past weekend, everything was open; most attractions were crowded.

If one doesn't expect to walk on major rides 2~3 times in a row, and adjusts one's expectations, the experience is still very pleasant.

MNSSHP was a hoot however. I was skeptical, but my DW went ahead and scheduled us anyhoo. Wonderful!

mecook.....I never made it to the meet. :(
Since they had us go to Tomorrowland before the beginning of MNSSHP, we just stayed there and did everything we wanted to. Plus DD insisted on riding Space Mtn like 4 times!!!:crazy2:

Then we made our way through Fantasyland, did IASW and Philharmagic, which is AWESOME!!! Then made it to HM after the parade already started.

I could see where they might have closed MK on Thursday!!!:crowded: :crowded:
That was just NUTS!!

Had I known........we would have skipped the parks that night::yes:: But live and learn!!
Even though we loved "wishes"......we saw it from the Poly......the crowds that night was the only bad part of the trip.

At least when we return in June.......we know we can handle the heavy crowds
