Here is a re-cap of my trip! 10/20-10/26

EPCOT:
1. Food & Wine is InSaNe....really. Way too many people with wheelchairs, scooters, strollers, etc. for such a tight space in World Showcase. I am not going to judge whether or not you should be IN one of these, but I AM going to judge how you drive them! I have been hit so many times in my ankle that I lost count. There needs to be a specific direction in which the "traffic" flows. Diagonal is not one of those options, people!

2. I am a vegetarian, and I thought it was safe to have what was labeled "Cheddar cheese soup & pretzel roll" from Canada. I took one bite, and sure enough, bacon in it. I returned it, received a refund, and asked politely for them to indicate that there is bacon in it for the next vegetarian who strolls by.

3. Our meal at Via Napoli was great. My daughter's chicken parmesan was absolutely HUGE. We also ordered garlic focaccia bread and it was only $3.95. GREAT deal for an appetizer.

4. The Refreshment Outpost got rid of my FAVORITE lemon soft serve. Now it is just boring vanilla, chocolate or swirl.

ALL-STAR MUSIC:
* Strolled in at midnight and we were told to drive around to the left and we will run into building 6. Somehow we unloaded all our bags at building 6, couldn't find our room, and was told by a mousekeeper that we were actually at the All-Star MOVIES resort. How in the heck did that even happen?? Anyway, building 6 at MUSIC is even WORSE than we could imagine. It was literally the farthest room away from the bus station as you could possibly get. DO NOT GET 6512 unless you like to walk a far distance at midnight when you are already exhausted.

* Mousekeeper walked in on us sleeping at 8:30am on our last day. That was enough to startle us and decide it was time to get up for the day!

* Room was clean at all times. We haven't stayed at an All Star in YEARS. It was quite small. Luckily it was just the two of us! No towel animals. We always look forward to that. No big deal. We survived.

MK/AK/HS:
* No more jalapeno Mickey pretzels anywhere. Boo.

* Arriving at rope drop each morning was the best thing we could ever do on this trip. We got more accomplished by 11:00am than we could ever imagine!

* Laugh Floor at MK was hysterical. We did it twice. We almost walked right on by.

* When we arrived for our reservations at the Prime Time Cafe, we were looking at the menu and couldn't find a single thing that either of us could eat. We cancelled and went to Sci-Fi. We were able to get right in despite my Disney App saying there weren't any reservations available. Lesson learned::: Read the menus ahead of time!!!

STAFF:
* Everyone was nice and friendly, but they were WAY more into each other than they were the customer. Any time we saw 2 CMs working together, they were just chit chatting together. We were ignored many times.

Hope this helps!

Would love to hear more about some of the veg food you enjoyed. Heading back next year and would like to try some new places.

I wasn't too adventurous this trip because the lines were absolutely crazy at the Food & Wine Festival. I kept running into dessert items at the little kiosks, but I had a hard time finding much else that was vegetarian. I ate way too many Mickey pretzels, Dole Whips, and pasta.

My vegetarian daughter is there now, and has been having a great time - lots of choices for her, and she's a bit picky. She uses AllEars and another website (will ask when she gets back) to check out the menus.

Were you at F&W on a Saturday by any chance? We went on a Friday night and it was pretty busy, but not insane. And we were pleasantly surprised last Sunday with F&W crowds.

Years ago, my husband's favorite was some kind of ice cream with peanut butter at the Outpost. I think it was chocolate peanut butter.

The food stands are tough for those avoiding certain foods. I wonder if there is an ingredient list at the registers?

We've had that with mousekeeping waking us up on check out day. Has happened with more than one stay, even with the Do Not Disturb sign up.

We like All Star Music. I'm sorry you didn't like your building. We stayed in the Country music section on our last stay there. It was during Pop Warner and we were surprised at having such a good experience there.

I read that the cream cheese pretzels are back though!

Makes me sad you were ignored by cm.

PS. I'm moving this to the TR board since it goes beyond theme park experience.

It's too late for you, but perhaps this will help someone else. At Food and Wine, there is an icon for Vegetarian food options. They have it shown next to items on the sign and also in the guidebook. There is probably something similar on the regular menus too.

I have never had mousekeeping walk in on us, but I have had them knocking at 8:30. As a result, I now always use the privacy sign on the door when we come back until we leave and, overnight, I use the security bar on the door.

When we were at Epcot we had the most amazing lunch at Marrakesh. I got the goat cheese appetizer and it was phenomenal. They let my daughter order hummus and pita because she was not into any of the foods on the kids meals. The veg option for the kids meal for her everywhere was either mac n cheese or pasta with red sauce. She was excited about the hummus. They made a whole vegan platter for my husband. For dinner we ate at the Mexican place that is directly across the "street" from the pyramid/temple. Delicious.
Next time I want to try the cheese plate in the UK. I love a good cheese plate.

I'm from Wisconsin, so I wanted something other than cheese. Lol

* Yes, we went on Saturday. Never again.
* Chocolate peanut butter would've been delightful.
* My fault entirely for not putting up the PRIVACY PLEASE sign. I guess I didn't expect Mousekeeping so early in the morning!

We stayed at ASMusic and loved it, we were in the Broadway section, it was a long walk but we love musical's so it was perfect for us. I'm sorry you didn't like where you were. I do remember seeing the Movie buildings when walking to our room it can be confusing.
