Just arrived yesterday. Flight was 20 minutes early. Magic Epress wait was about 10 minutes and at resort in 30. Wilderness Lodge is great. Online check in took about 10 minutes. Had dinner res for eight but got inat seven with a ten minute wait. More to come.

Ok so now I'm sitting by the pool on my blackberry enjoying the nice weather and an adult beverage. Did MK today and all I can say is the may crowd fears were totally unfounded. The crowds were there but this place is definitely made to handle them. 15 minutes was the longest wait even when ther sigm said 30. Typical wait was 5 to 10 minutes. Trust me, I am not a crowd person but had no problems at all.

Food has been good, service has been great and the parks have been super clean. I have not noticed any shrtcuts because of the economy. Typical Disney Magic.

AND nobody seems concerned about the swine flu (or winning the lottery as I call it). Everyone seems to be having a blast here. Also, the Wilderness Lodge is great. Ther only thing is my S year old daughter would rather just be at the pool all day instead of the parks!

In short, anyone coming in May have no fear of the crowds or the diseases and have a great time. I know I am!

If you have time and happen to make it to DTD can you check to see if they still have the store to make your own Mickey Ears. I would truely appreciate it.
TIA
Nancy:)

Have a magical vacation and enjoy!!!

I will but it won't be til thursday that we get down there. I can tell you that mk has it cause we got some custom ones done for daughter today. Just inside the square after you get in MK

Thanks for the insights about your trip! We leave in 7 days and are staying at WL so it is great to hear a bit of what to anticipate! Enjoy!!!

Can't wait to see what happens. We went this same week 2 years ago and also had very little wait times. I am going in Sept this time and hope to find the same thing.

I know I'm not OP but we just returned a week ago from the world and there was a section in the store next to the Make your own tshirt shop where you could make your ears. Pick each ear, the actual hat part and embroidery. HTH!

Thanks for taking the time to give us Disers something to occupy our time! I always say that trip reports and pictures are what keep me sane until our next WDW vacation.

I have heard they do it there but we will not be getting to MK until day 3 or 4 of our trip and I want to be able to have the kids do it the day we get to WDW, So I am hoping that they have it at DTD
