From my non-professional point of view, they are busy closing Disney stores and charging $75 for a $10 item from the online store.

Good luck with that application. :thumbsup2 I'd really like to see someone who is a Disney fan on the inside.

Maybe you can get them to explain why they want to turn the Disney brand of merchandise into something that expensive and hard to get. Maybe the plan is to make it exclusive from the unwashed masses! :confused3

That's kind of funny, because that's what Disney merchandise used to be, and I really miss it. When I wore a Disneyland T-shirt, it meant I had *been* to Disneyland, which was a cool thing. The only place you could buy that Mickey plush was at a Disney park. Now anybody can buy anything, and there's nothing that's unique to the parks, and actually means "I've been to Disneyland!"

Oh, I totally agree with Disneyland merch being exclusive to Disneyland and WDW merch being exclusive to WDW, but I'm bitter that they are closing my Disney store. Even though they haven't stocked anything for adults except for t-shirts and coffee mugs for years I'll miss it.

But that's not what I meant. I meant needing to go to a park, *any* Disney park, to get Mickey Mouse T-shirts & plushes & hats. The Disney Store, in my mind, is a part of the problem, because they dilute the product. If anyone can go to the Mall & get this stuff, it's not as special anymore.

Oh, ok. But under the current conditions I'll now be forced to buy my Disney themed goods from Walmart. Cheaply made, always on sale, poor quality licensed products. And as long as Disney still makes money they don't seem to have a problem with it.
