Just Another Sparrow Rumor?

I was in a room and someone said that tomorrow VMK is coming out with Sparrow except for the shirt and Pink Tron. I could see with it being Pirate month that Sparrow would be an outfit that VMK releases, but I really doubt it. I don't get why Pink Tron would be released since it has absolutely nothing to do with Pirates. It supposedly was seen on a YouTube video. I tend to not believe what others say in the game unless I see it on the VMK website or here. I think there were rumors before about Pink Tron. Just wondering if anyone has heard this?

Pink tron was first seen during tron month, ever since then there has been rumors. As for new items, nobody knows that is coming out until Ned's comes out tonight. I highly doubt sparrow is coming out, unless it is the new sparrow. So don't worry, don't listen.

what about the new sparrow? Host fin was walking around with a black/gray version of the current sparrow.

Do we have a side-by-side comparison picture to say it was different for sure? All of the pictures I saw looked like normal Sparrow - different angles and/or picture-taking software or methods could account for the slight variance, in my opinion.

I will look later, there is a picture on one of the threads here, at the first of the month with fin walkign around, her hat is clearly not brown nor her boots. If anyone else knows where it was feel free to post a link, otherwise I will search for it when I get home.

Umm coinencidence that the boots and hat from that fin pic are the color barbossa's hat and boots are yet he has the same shirt as sparrow suit now. And it just so happens that the new blue bayou word is Apples his favorite food.....

^ is the "other" sparrow that I saw Fin wearing. They could easily release that as a "variant" of the game version.

Well, I'm still a bit skeptical, but I will say that Phinny's shoes do look similar to the shoes shown in Imagineer_Tech's posts (#5 on this thread).

Time will tell...I wonder when I'm going to start being able to save credits for October/December again... lol

For somebody who has Sparrow, I would LOVE to see it be released in the game.

I do have to wonder about this "rumor." Why would Fin say she would be sporting a new costume come Ride-a-thon weekend and then show up in a Sparrow outfit?

When I first joined VMK in April of '06 there was this picture on the Main Page:

It had the caption: "Available later this summer" - We didn't get Tron month until September '06 which to me is more like autum than summer. And while the Blue Tron came out, never have they released the Pink (Red, Magenta, Rurple - whatever color they call it ).

I like the original costume better than the current one.

I couldn't agree more. It's more like what Sparrow wore most of the times in the movies. I sure wish they'd release this version.

As someone who traded a considerable amount for a Sparrow suit, I feel I am in the unique position of saying my opinion on this "new" Sparrow suit:

I love it! Sell it in Ned's for 500 credits an item!

Just as long as it isn't the same, I have no problem. This would allow everyone to dress up like Jack Sparrow, as opposed to just the "lucky" ones. Yet the "lucky" ones can still have their jacket, so they don't feel completely jipped.

And hey, we need another Pirate outfit.

This is the side-by-side comparison I was hoping to see. It certainly looks different, but I won't get my hopes up...especially for my credits. lol
