Just another pin complaint!

I have it on good authority that Disney sometimes pulls credit to see how much you make before offering a pin. Can anyone corroborate this? Sorta shady if you ask me.

And I have a bridge in Arizona for sale. :goodvibes

Seriously, Disney doesn't have that kind of authority. Besides, when I received my first pin we were making under $30K per year. Still get them and we're well into the 6 figures now.

Disney has no authority to look at someone's income...

From reading other threads, I know this happens to everyone, but I want to complain too!!!

So in the last two to three years (before we could afford yearly WDW trips with me being a poor college student before) we would get pin offers all the time! I know I at least got 2 in the mail, and tons by email. Now that we can afford WDW, the offers have all dried up. The last pin I got? Free parkhopper and water park. Blah. :sad1: We are def not a park-hopping family!QUOTE]

Not all PIN's are sent: You may have a PIN Code and not know it. I called a few weeks ago and found out - ROOM PIN! Which was very lucky since we just found out we (the DW and I) are able to go - SANS KIDS!

I have been hearing a lot of rumblings from CMs that the PINS and discounts are drying up. The economy is starting to turn and Disney is looking to increase the revenue stream. I hope they will continue to offer decent discounts, but my guess is it will be during off peak times. Which stinks, with two in school, I have to go in the summers or breaks.

Yea, i am not buying this reason either.. i look at it a lot like the cell phone or video game industry..
Sell the hardware at a discount (Room Rate), and make up the rest in the monthly service fees (parks, gift shops, etc..)

I would be shocked if Disney is cutting back on PIN codes for Room Discounts, as the most important thing for them should be to just get families in the parks at all cost.
