I love jumping!!! X-country is fun, but freaks me out a little. I dont know, I'm always afraid some random animal is gonna jump out and spook the horse. One of my friends was riding X-Country once and there was a couple taking a leisurly walk...down the course! haha She said she has never screamed so loud at people to get out of her way!

3'3" isn't bad! I remember when I was like 11 and jumped my first cross-rail. OMG I thought I was so cool! The actuall part I jumped over could'nt have been more than 1 foot...but it felt like I was jumping 5 feet!

5 feet is my highest. But I mainly stay in the 4 foot range. Not terribly high, but high enough for now. I don't want to push myself or the horse into anything I'm not ready for. See, you know your limit, I think when your ready you can and will jump higher!

lol you'd have to get me on the most safe reliable horse in the world before i even went within a mile of a 5ft jump.
my pony's 13hh and no offense to him incapable of jumping higher than 3ft 3 which suits me fine.
i prefer smaller but bolder drop.

like drop fences and hunt walls.
yes 2ft 9 stone walls make for scary jumps.

Aww I love ponies! You know for 13hh 3ft 3 is really good, no matter how high you could jump, I fully beleive it is up to the horse. I agree, stone walls are SCARY . I love drop fences, though, they just look safe and sterdy...without looking like they could fall over and kill you!
