Just an FYI-Vero no longer offers straws or lids.

Don't know if this is new info or not but none of the restaurants at VB offer straws and lids now. I guess they were having a problem with these and the wildlife in the resort area.

Thought this might be good to know if you are traveling with a little one who might not have total control over a cup without a lid yet.

You are allowed to bring your own and we were also told that you could buy straws and lids in the store.

Hmmmm..... I am 39 and still manage to spill my coffee on my shirt every morning. Then again, my wife had a tough time drinking her margarita at the pool without a straw... :p :teeth:

Maistre Gracey,

For some reason, I didn't have a problem consuming my pina coladas without a straw:teeth:

Were they working on some areas of the resort while you were there? I must say the resort looked amazing. They were scrubbing the pool deck, painting, cleaning, etc. the whole time we were there.

I just love VB!

Yes, there was a lot of maintenance going on while we were there. We always find the Vero Beach resort to be in tip-top shape. Even the putt-putt golf was in better form on our recent visit.

We too absolutely adore the Vero resort, as well as the laid back surroundings of the town itself. Personally, I could not imagine owning DVC without my treasured VB points...

The town of VB is absolutely amazing.

I couldn't believe the bike lanes they had on A1A. You could ride for miles!

There are wonderful places to eat everywhere, nice grocery stores, etc. We could very easily adjust to life in VB or any of the surrounding areas.

There seems to be a nice mix of wealthy, middle class, etc. in the town.

I forgot to mention that they also had rebuilt the beach boardwalk while we were there that was damaged by a storm.
