Just an FYI...Seasonal passes now valid July 22!

I have a Seasonal Pass that has blackout dates...mainly the entire summer and also times around Christmas and in the spring for spring break. I don't mind because I avoid WDW during those times, anyway, as I dislike the crowds.

Well, I just got a postcard in the mail that the blackout date has been lifted. Instead of the pass bieng valid starting Aug 18th, it will now be valid on July 22!

I looked at the last few pages on this board and did not see anything about this, so I just thought I'd share! I usualy post on the resorts and restauarnts board, but thought this was the appropriate board for this info!

Its still showing on the website as August 18. But I know last year they changed the dates. I think most FL schools are going back to school earlier now. As tempting as it is to go now personally I can't deal with the crowds and the heat. Though we just bought APs to Universal, stayed at RPR last week. With the front of the line passes it was great. Never more than a 10 min wait. Imagine having a fast pass to every ride. Excellent way to beat the heat and the crowds.

Yeah, I know what you mean! Opening up the dates doesn't really do anything for me, either, cuz it is TOO HOT!

After seeing this post I've been anxiously checking the mail and today I got the postcard too! DH says no way, but I'm thinking about trying to squeeze in a girls trip with friends before DD goes back to school on 8/10. Thanks for the advance notice!!

Hi Cathy! Glad I could be of service. The nice thing for us, is since we live so close, we can pop in and if the park is too crowded...we can leave! I love just staying on property and getting the WDW "vibe" at the restaurants and resorts! Let us know if you make the trip! Have fun!
