Just added 2 extra days during free dining! Thank you SW!

So, I'm looking over our plans for the upcoming trip and I realize, even though we're there for 8 nights, we're only getting 1 evening EMH at MK because it's the end of August. And nights are my dh's favorite time at the parks, because everything is "more magical" after dark. So I'm thinking we should add one more day in order to get that extra evening EMH (for my dh, of course).

I check SW, and to return home one day later will cost us $40 more (total). Not bad, but my dh did say "only if it won't cost us anything but the hotel." Hmm. So I check the next day (ie, adding 2 days to the trip) and now the airline tickets are $115 CHEAPER if we stay an extra 2 days instead of one. $115+$40=$155, which is the exact cost of one more night at our resort. Coincidence? I think not.

So I call Disney to ask about adding an extra day or two (and how will that affect our free dining) and they tell me I can add up to two days (the exact number we needed) and still get free dining, if the rooms are available. He checks and, amazingly, they still have availability! Coincidence? I think not.

So, now we're on for 10 nights instead of 8. And all it's costing us is an extra $155 (plus $8 for tickets). Just had to share my joy!

(But, what do you want to bet I still won't be able to fit in everywhere we want to eat?)

Awesome!! We recently added an extra two days ourselves...one day we addedabout a week or so ago because we just wanted to spend one more day. But then we found out that MNSSHP started the day we were departing, so we decided to add yet another day...and I called earlier this evening to add it on! We won't be adding anymore days...but I was excited to change a 5 day trip to a 7 day one! I agree with your husband...it's definitely more magical at night for us as well.
