Just a universal sold out question

Hello all - trying to get rooms for Universal third week in October (20TH TO 23RD) - last minute trip - any reason why they are all sold out besides HHN? I am an avid planner and always have trips booked well in advance so of course I understand that these things happen when booking last minute.

Just wondering if something else that I am not aware of is going on?

travel agencies buy blocks of rooms to sell with packages.
usuallly a week or so prior, they will release the unsold rooms back to the hotels.



if you have the time, put i different dates to check for room availability.
you plan on thur night thru saturday night.
try adding a sunday to see if you can book.

if you don't have the time, call and talk to a TM to find a room for you.
they can find the dates that have openings for a 3 night stay.

Thanks - we are locked in for those dates - so unfortunately, no room to move the dates around. I am waiting for word back from my TA to see if they have any packages available - they are dealing with the mess left after the hurricane here on the east coast - so I am hoping they can get back to me tomorrow. I was checking all the travel sites and universal directly - no luck there. Fingers crossed!!

as mac stated, always good to call in this case.

pretty sure i've been reading there's a large convention in the disney BW area that weekend people may have decided to visit U instead. Also, you're surrounded by 2 large conventions that could be a factor but, typically, the unused blocks are released a few weeks out

fyi, u can go to the universal site & book ur own pkg, even if using AAA
