Just a Target grrrrrrrrrr

We have a tracfone. Needing to buy more time. Target had a deal. Go to discovercard and "bought" a target gift card with points to save a few extra dollars. Go back to Target site, click click click, go to pay, Target doesn't accept gift cards for phone cards. I now have a gift card for Target. Do I need to say how often we tend to shop Target????? Maybe once a year.

You should be able to find something. Any Target gift card can be used online, and some of the stuff is a marketplace where Target is just providing a website and payment platform, but their gift cards are still valid.

However, it depends on the gift card. There are different categories of gift cards where there may be restrictions on what can be purchased - especially gift cards obtained through promotions or points redemptions. Especially other gift cards since some have bonuses and they're trying to avoid people gaming them. Target specifically doesn't allow gift cards that were purchased with special rewards to be used to buy other gift cards.

Target doesn't have reloadable gift cards or any way to consolidate gift card balances (like Starbucks) to a single account. I've heard of some who lost their entire balance buying gift cards from online sources, and once Starbucks found where some were coming from, they froze the entire account without a refund for some sort of terms violations. I'd hate for that to happen, but it can when funds are commingled.

Most places no longer allow you to buy a gift card with another gift card unless it's like a prepaid visa gift card.

Unfortunately I shop entirely too much at target lol

Can you just go to the Target store and buy a Tracfone minutes card with the Target gift card?

If not, there are super Targets which have a nice grocery section. You can use your gift card for food.

You haven't been able to do that for as long as I remember.
I get my phone refill cards there and you can use your red card and get 5% off of them. I usually buy them when they have the B1 get 1 10% plus my 5% off. Helps a little.
