Just a quick question about DVC tours...

My DW and I are considering the tour next month while at FW. I can't seem to find out what the current incentives are, other than the 3 fast passes. Those really won't do us any good because we are going only to Not So Scary one night, and no other parks.

We were in WDW June 18-25 of this year, and we did an impromptu DVC tour. I meant to schedule a tour before we went on our trip, and life happened and I forgot. We are interested in DVC, knew we weren't ready to pull the trigger, but wanted to do some research by visiting and talking to a DVC CM.

On our last full day, we were headed to a Beaches and Cream lunch ADR, and stumbled on the DVC model on the Boardwalk. We made a tour appointment for after lunch, when we realized we could catch some AC, get 3 FP each, and a $50 Disney gift card. I don't know if that's the norm but it's what we were given. We didn't pull the trigger, but we felt like we got some good information and got some questions answered.

Yes, that helps. We aren't ready to dive into the pool either but, we are life long Disney people and it seems like it may be a fit for us down the line somewhere. I am pretty sure we are going to take the tour. We'll probably turn right around and use the gift card on some tickets for Mickey's Backyard Bar-B-Que.

We got $100 gift card this spring plus the FPs but it may have been because we were already staying in a DVC villa. They left a super cute Mickey/Minnie Poly print with the offer at our door the first day.

Had the same thing a couple years ago at AKL. $100 gift card and the fast passes. Took the tour, got our gift card, went home and became members the following week.

I feel like the higher level resort you are staying in, the incentive may be better.
