Just a Minor Vent - Another "gee they Really don't get it" thread

When I tell "some" people that DH and I are going to spend 6-8 weeks a year at WDW when we retire, they look at me as if I had three heads!! Yes; DH and I bought enough points for the future, that would allow us 6-8 weeks between SSR and BW during the cold NY months in a few years. Now if I said "DH and I bought a condo in Florida and will be spending 6-8 weeks there in the winter", do you think I'd get the same looks?????

So no, some people really don't get it.

I am a considering buying DVC via resale... and never thought about it as a retirement home... I LIKE YOUR STYLE!

We did the same thing! We figured we could stay at the resort or if we get an Rv we can stay at the campground for months!

As for telling people or talking to people aboout DVC, I simply don't !!
