My friend and I are new AP holders, twice we ate at The Rain Forest Cafe and both times we forgot to show a card for the discount!
Anyway, we didn't know this, but if you are with a small party say like 2-3 adults, and you don't really care if you are seated amongst the animals, you can go directly to the bar area and dine there. You don't have to sit at the actual bar, there are several small tables available. You can also order food to go.
My friend and I were there a few days before X-Mas and the wait was 2 hours. We originally wanted food-to-go for our hotel room which can be ordered through the bar, that's when we learned that we could also eat there if we wanted, which we did and felt really bad for the people waiting in line

The Safari Club gives you priority over others and since we don't like to eat at a set time most days we just walk up. The club is $10 for a lifetime and you get a $10 certificate in the mail towards your next meal, you get the priority seating and either 10% off your meal or a free appetizer. We usually go with the free appetizer.
crab dip is gone. We dined week of halloween, and when I asked waiter said it was no longer offered. It's now a spinich and artichoke dip which was ok but is offered everywhere now days.
