I actually made my decision NOT to use ME about 2 months ago. I decided to get a rental car through priceline instead. It was more imprortant to me to have flexiblity, etc.
Well originally we had the ressies with ME when we reserved (on points) a studio at the BCV. However I changed my ressies to a 1BR at OKW and informed the reservation agent that I no longer needed the ME reservation. She said she would cancel it for me.
WELL....we ended up actually getting the ME paperwork last week, even though we cancelled and it said "Beach Club Villas" on it.
So that is just a little FYI about what *may* happen if you switch resorts..
