Just a friendly reminder to check your receipts before leaving the store!

Don't do what I did and shove them in your purse only to find 2 items on there that I didn't buy!
I went to DTD WoD store Sunday morning to purchase a couple things for people back home. I bought 3 items up to the register and got back to the resort with those 3 items in my bag.
Fastfoward to today as I'm back home in NY looking over my receipts and notice 2 of the same item on that receipt. I call merchandising to see what the SKU because it says clear poncho but I know I didn't buy any of those. Sure enough that is what it is, adult ponchos. I mentioned to the woman that I never purchased ponchos, I brought my own from home and said I never even brought anything like that up to the register. She said they are found behind the register. While I was checking out the very friendly CM was commenting on my purse and we were discussing where I got it. I don't know if she wasn't paying attention to what she was doing and scanned them because they were near her, but all I know is that they weren't in my bag and I never brought them to her or asked her for them to be purchased. While its not a big deal, I'll just call my bank and dispute the charge I'm mad at myself for not noticing right then and there.

I always go review my receipt and I always know my approximate price before going to the counter. That same exact thing happened to me, but thankfully I was still in the store and was able to go back. Not at Disney, but another one.

I think that is what happened. We were chatting so I think she was definitely distracted.

It didn't really register at the time that the total was a bit too high for what I purchased. It was the 2nd to last day so I was pretty used to those high totals by then and didn't think too much of it Every other purchase I had glanced over my receipt, figures the one time I didn't there would be a mistake.
