Just a few point short....rent cost?

Has anyone rented points from Disney to complete a reservation? What's the cost? And do you have to have member services make the reservation?

I think I'm going to be 4 points short for an upcoming stay. Can I buy the points and them make the reservation myself after I reach the 7 month window?

You have to call to purchase the one-time-use points. They are $15/point. You can buy them only after your 7-month booking window is open for the night you will book with those points.

If you are concerned about losing out on your reservation due to waiting an hour for MS to open, you could book as many nights as possible online at 8am eastern time with the points you have, then call MS to add on that last night, purchasing the OTU points at that time.
