Just a DTD resv FYI

If you're having trouble making reservations take note.

I've been trying for days to find a dinner time resv at TREX for a date in April with no success. Only time avail all day was 3:30. (This is the latest in my 180 day mark that I've ever tried to make dining resvs for a Disney trip, so I was starting to feel like a big loser). Anyhow, I decided to just call direct and voila, I got one for 5pm. Also, they didn't require a CC to hold it like you must when you book it thru Disney. Interesting....

Yes. It's much easier to call directly because all of the table service restaurants in DTD are third party owned and only release a small number of their reservations to the Disney dining res system. The majority of reservations are for those who call the restaurants directly and then it's like making a reservation at one of your hometown restaurants. They just ask your name.
