What's wrong with the OKW?

Some of it is blurry, the slide at the pool isn't in 3D, and a few buildings aren't accurate...

I'm going to assume you're sarcastic there You know they're refurbing the castle soon, so there'll be walls up around the icon of the park.

And no I wasn't being sarcastic that was a jab at how they usually avoid refurbing things b/c of once in a lifetime guests.

I did know about the castle and moat and I'm actually very happy about that , its quite rare for WDW.

That does make sense.

I remember going to WDW in 2006, and they were painting the castle it's current colour. That was rather interesting to see with the crane behind the castle.

TDL:

The stone is darker, and the paint is more golden.

MK:

Stone is light grey, with a offwhite on top

I love the first picture. I think it's the foliage. It's like the castle is rising out of (green) clouds.

Haha, you're absolutely right, it's a very cool pic. I just wanted to find one that really showcased the color scheme.

Which reminds me, of course, of the fact the MK is missing foliage... but thankfully the Expansion should fix that- the greenery is what I'm most excited for. Actually the architecture of the buildings alone is a major thematic step up for Fantasyland.

I do like the TDL colours more. I hope this refurb on the castle might change the colours to look more like it. That, or back to white.

I don't think they'll change the colours but I assume this is part of many refurbs to come for the 40th anniversary.

I've been keeping the actual pictures unspoiled, as I'm getting it in a few weeks (I renewed this week), but I heard its never-created ideas?

We get it for free when you either buy a membership or renew.

I'm tempted to get a D23 membership, especially since they released one at $35 (sure it doesn't have the magazine, but I don't usually get magazines) but there's also the price on shipping, and I won't be able to take part in the special events due to them being in the USA.

That is correct. They've shown three on the Disney Parks blog.

Yeah International shipping is ridiculous.

For me, the only reason to get it is the magazine because (although its easier for me to go than you) I still can't go to the grand majority of the events.

The Studios tour made it completely worthwhile, and I got a trip to California out of it (convinced my parents).
