Just a cute story I had to share...

We took our 2 yr DS to WDW last March. Needless to say, he LOVED it! The other night, he came running in the kitchen with his backpack on and grabbed our hands to follow him in the family room. He had found our pictures from the trip, spread them out on the floor, and was trying to "ski-doo" to WDW! (For those of you who aren't familiar with Blue's Clues, "ski-doing" is the process that allows Blue to magically enter a picture.) So, he was doing the little ski-doo dance and singing the song, then grabbing our hands to try to jump in. He was quite frustrated that it wasn't working!

It was the cutest thing I've ever seen...I actually had tears in my eyes. If I wasn't 6 months pregnant with twins right now, we would have been on a plane this past weekend to WDW!!!

Fortunately, we've got a Disney Cruise planned for the end of May. Seeing how much he loved WDW, we'll be sure to add a land package.

And to think, some people thought we were crazy to bring such a young child to WDW for his first trip!!! People tried to tell us he wouldn't fully enjoy it and he wouldn't remember anything. Obviously, even 2 year olds can have precious memories of WDW! And, I'm looking forward to creating MANY more! :sunny:

That is just too sweet! Nothing more pure than toddlers experiencing things for the first time. Sorry his "Ski-doo" didn't work--I remember my little sister trying to jump into her chalk sidewalk drawings after the first time she saw Mary Poppins (she's almost 7 years younger than me.) I also remember trying to get my bed to fly after seeing bedknobs and broomsticks--the knob in the bottom corner was loose and we could turn it; I sure thought that was a sign I could get to Naboombu. ;)

What a cute story! Thanks for sharing it. Your son sounds like a cutie!

What a precious story! Sounds like that little guy will be a lifelong Disneyholic! :D

Oh my gosh, now I have tears again. (see an earlier post of mine from this morning - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=681663) I wanna ski-do, too!

We've been taking our daughter to WDW since she was 19 months old. She's now 3.5 and has been to WDW 5 times. We are ALL Disney brats, as we call ourselves in our family.

:wave2: That was so cute, I loved it. I wish that would really work we all could "ski-doo" to WDW. Thanks again.

I can tell you from experience that you'll probably remember that story very fondly for many years to come. Thanks for sharing.

I guess it's NOT true when they say "Blue Skidoo, we can too". I guess skidoo'ing is reserved for Blue, Joe and Steve. DARN!

Very cute! Be sure to write that down and put it with your trip pictures or in a scrapbook!

Awesome! (And is it wrong that I'm 31, have no kids, and know what you were talking about with Blue's Clues?) :)
