Just a comment about menus

Does it annoy anyone else that when you look at the menus online for a lot of the Disney owned and not Disney owned restaurants that you have to go to a third party website to see the actual prices? For my example go to Raglan Road's web site and look at their menus.

Question #2 - is this all a ploy caused by "free dining" so people don't know the prices or is this just dishonest from the get go?

I don't know where you are looking, but I just pulled up menus from 3 different Disney restaurants at random, from the official web site. They all had prices on them.

The buffets and AYCTE, as well as specialty dining often don't have pricing listed because they vary during the year. If you want to know the price of one of these, just call and ask.

Having said that, I know that many restaurants don't put prices on their online menus simply because prices fluctuate due to the cost of supplies. Saves having to reprint their menus all the time. It's not some dark conspiracy or scam.

Raglan Road isn't run by WDW so they have their own website. I check allearsnet for menus with pricing anyway. Not the WDW site.

Disney posts general price ranges for each restaurant anyways, why look for individual item prices? It'll all be fairly close to the range provided and sounds like a lot of work for no real benefit.
